Would love a video on pregnancy safe skincare including acne treatments and anti aging / moisturizers. So many products are combo (i.e. vitamin C with other things like peptides, etc.) and it's hard to know whats safe to use for all stages.

I’d also love this video! In the meantime, gentle cleansers without salicylic acid, rich moisturizers, Niacinamide and Azalaic acid (and sunscreen of course) have been great for me during my pregnancy. My skin became a lot more sensitive and I did develop some dermatitis around my nose and under my eyes, so for a while I was only cleansing and moisturizing. The acne in my first trimester was not fun either. I wish we knew more in general about what was truly safe vs not safe. A lot of stuff that we are advised to avoid is just because we don’t know and it’s considered unethical to test 🤷♀️ . And I get it. Better safe than sorry. But it sucks. Pregnancy/breastfeeding can potentially take up 2-4 years of your life.

I’m sure there’s a reason why they didn’t mention it but when I was pregnant I slathered vanicream. One think that I noticed about vanicream compared to other moisturizers is that she’s heavy and really creates a noticeable barrier. I found when I applied it at night and woke up the next morning most of the moisturizer was still there. Where other more affordable moisturizers would be all but gone
@SpArK4GrL11 ай бұрын
Vanicream is really great! I use it on my preschoolers face because she gets a type of eczema and it’s the only thing that’s helped and doesn’t irritate her sensitive skin. I also apply Aquaphor on top to really seal it in overnight. I’ll probably use this combo on my newborn once she’s born too. It’s so gentle and nourishing. I’m using a heavy CeraVe cream with HA and ceramides on my baby bump though with Aquaphor on top.

I do think you look fabulous in your fluffy Bow headband. I love the cute style and color. I would use this silk one to protect my edges while I sleep but think I'll stick to my cute bow when actually washing my face. Super adorable. Here's a little hack for applying minoxidil. Use a small paintbrush to apply it to your hairline recession. I have the same hairline recession which I call my cul-de-sacs and use a paintbrush to control how much and where it's applied. I bought a set of natural fiber brushes at the local Wally World and it works great. Also use it to apply caffeine from Inkey List.

Apply Pure raw African shea butter then layer with eucerin lotion (rich). Use daily to remove fresh/new stretch marks. Takes 3-6 months to disappear,but it works! I’ve done this multiple times in my life from stretch marks due to weight gain or excessive scratching. Key is to keep skin hydrated daily with shea butter and seal with eucerin lotion. Don’t scratch. If you’re pregnant use daily before you see stretch marks appear. Must reapply multiples a day. Do not scratch belly, hips or butt ever. If you’re itchy apply shea butter & eucerin vs scratching. Continue to use after pregnancy every day. It works!

What helped me the most with white(old) stretch marks has been carboxytherapy. The problem is that I did get 30 sessions on them to see an improvement. They did shrink in size but did not completely disappear. Maybe if I do get more treatments but they're very expensive. If anyone out there has white stretch marks and the funds to get them treated, definitely get carboxytherapy.

Could you do a video on how or maybe that you shouldn't apply skin care products over beards. When does it go from OK to pointless or even damaging to the beard hairs.
@oshunauset82511 ай бұрын
Hey friends- this is what I’ve done as a mom of 4 that reduced my stretch marks some have faded completely. You have to have a semi pain tolerance. Consider using numbing cream or a lower percentage of product. Microneedling with dr pen. Use ordinary hya acid. Wipe off and cover with 10-15% vitamin c mixed with 10% glycolic acid. Alternate various days with trentinoin and vitamin c until peeling occurs. While it’s peeling only use hydrating products like cicabalm or vitamin e, or zinc (I use zinc pca). I also like ordinary retinol w squalene. I use lightening products during this phase for maximum absorption. You will see results once skin peels. Repeat 1x a month. I have stretch marks that are 17yrs old vanish. This basically combines everything they just said. I did my research reading studies to come up with this formulation. Good luck!
