There was just a case in Indiana where a man saved his daughters life because of the office scene. When they were doing chest compressions, the man remembered the scene where they have to do the compressions to staying alive, and he did that to his daughter. She was able to live. Same here! Most people don't consider putting in a warning, and it ended very poorly for me watching anything on TV or online. I am more in recovery now than not, but it was super nice to see the warning. I still can't handle it at all in real life, but I no longer flip at any mention. I used to full on panic, injuring myself, others, things around me, screaming and fleeing as fast as I could, and my mom would have to work for hours to calm me down. I'd just scream and cry and shake and couldn't talk and could not process the emotion so I'd lash out. I still take off running and go mute and occasionally scratch myself when encountering it in person, but I calm easier and don't get violent. It just got (and still does get) embedded into my mind. I don't know why I react like this, but I'm doing my best.

I am happy tho that it is a at home exam (some ups to Covid I guess), because it is anatomy and physiology, medical treatments etc, so I can use all my books and notes, and had it been in school as originally should be, it's a 5 hr exam with no help.... My wife used to substitute for the special needs preschoolers, and when they were having a bad day, she would burrito them to calm them down. She called them her burrito babies, and they absolutely loved it. When we had our son, she didn't produce any milk, and a lot of the hospital and pediatric staff made her feel really bad about it. I still think that the psychological effects of being unable to breastfeed contributed to her dying last year.

The CPR scene brought back memories in my high school healthcare class where we had to do chest compressions to staying alive for our final. We had to do it for the entire song to pass.

@@jonathanhill8551 I know someone who didn't call 911 because the cost of ambulance service. I can't blame them. A lot are "out of network" and can easily cost someone $3,000 and up. My insurance doesn't cover anything that is "out of network". If I need to go to the hospital emergency room and I can't drive myself, I will be using Uber/Lyft due to the cost. Plus, if the ambulance service takes me to a hospital that is "out of network", I am screwed. The company (a Fortune 500 company) advised us to be prepared and know which hospitals are 'In network". In case, we have to go to hospital for emergency.

Dr Mike: “Why is he smoking a cigar?!” It’s kind of an old timey tradition, usually given to the father by a male friend or his own father… this goes back to the era of when even patients would be given cigarettes by the doctor; but it’s meant as a form of congratulations. I don’t know if it’s still done though, it might be a relic of a bygone era.

@@cicihoustonsudholt1452 I remember when I was a kid, they were JUST starting to ask people to smoke outside. Other than that, you could smoke in your hospital bed - even as a patient on oxygen. I can’t even imagine how many accidents there probably were.

My grandma on my mom's side once had a heart attack on her way to our house to cut my dad's hair. She continued to drive herself to our house, cut my dad's hair, drive home, and then ask my grandpa to take her to the hospital. She was an absolute unit.
