I've had the NV 4500 I put a NV 5600 in a 12 valve but my favorite is definitely the G56 like you said they just shift way better

I found what helped with shifting on my NV5600 was using Valvoline MTF (pretty good price at O’Reilly’s). Seemed an improvement over Pennzoil. Both are Chrysler spec, BTW. I also run FAST coolers and add an extra quart, as recommended.

The CDL note you touched on is the reason I still run with my 3/4 ton. In certain eyes I can legally pull more with that than I could a 1 ton, in PA anyway. It's hard to explain that to some people lol

yea cdl rules are all different but I feel its always better to have it and all requirments checked off less hastle and worry

Standard transmission out of Texas does what they call the "power lube" mod for the 5600 that's supposed to really help shifting and overall lubing of the trans. They open up the fluid passages more or less. That's who I'm gonna have to through my 5600 when it's time

Towed 38,000lbs with my 17 3500 with the aisin. Thats working it but it handled it surprisingly well

Yea it was a load of seed that was in bags. had to go over a scale and and my entire rig was 46,000 lbs. I have hauled anywhere from 20k to 30k normally but had to push the limits that day because i had to get all the seed planted the next day

Nv5600 is undeniably superior to the g56. It's much much much stronger at the expense of not shifting like a dinky aluminum g56 sports car trans made by Mercedes. Your truck is worth a lot more than you bought it for to the right buyer.

Another easy day for a 5.9 didn't realize how ca cdl laws was I'm glad nc isn't like that or I would be in trouble all the time got a skytrack that weighs 10000 by itself and the trailer is about another 7000 not counting the truck

If you are making money like him then you need the CDL if over 26,001# CGVW in all states.
