I don't know what this looks like up close but in the video....hmmm.The Rhino lining will prevent further hail damage and you will have peace of mind when you can load cinder blocks,bricks,gravel, bags of mulch....family Christmas tree on top of the Challenger.( kidding,lol) Me, I would've replaced the deck lid along with the hood. Fill in the dings on the upper side of 1/4 panels,fenders,cover with decal stripe without the R/T. Find a body shop and have a vinyl top installed.Maybe something a little psychedelic. Black vinyl would've looked awesome. Just my thought's.Glad you saved the car. Glad to see you have your son involved. Is this a high school car for a certain young man? Anyhow, have fun @ the car shows and Happy New Year! John

Looks awesome!!! I have been through the hassles with body shops for paint work. They make it way too expensive to have the work get done. What I have learned from that experience is that body shops only care about turn and burn insurance claims. Can make way more money on insurance companies than on an individual owner thats is willing to pay with cash.

Glad for you. You made it look good for you. Personally I hate it. The Rhino lining will fade in the sun in a couple years, if that, turning it gray. To each his own though.
@Dirtmonkey8 жыл бұрын
Thanks- I know it will fade but for now - I get a lot of compliments on it. More than I thought- I was just trying to cover up the craters on the roof.
@dtman668 жыл бұрын
My comment comes off kind of harsh. Sorry, don't mean it that way. When I bought my truck back in 2010 I had Rhino lined the box and across the top rail of the box. The tonneau cover covers up half the rail leaving some of the Rhino exposed to the sun. That exposed area has now faded. Now, if I ever remove the tonneau I'll have a definite stripe black/gray that will show and looks bad. Thanks for all the videos! Your doing great! Love em!
@Dirtmonkey8 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean with the black and grey fade. I need to figure out how to keep the car shaded so the hood doesn't curl and the rhino doesn't fade out. Thanks for watching by the way ;)

Well- where were you when I was getting this done😄👍🤔 haha. You guys could do the bottom half and we will see which one lasts longer. Actually on a serious note would you consider doing a side-by-side comparison in the bed of a pick up truck? We will put rhino liner on one half of the bed and Line-x on the other half and see how they both hold up.

+LINE-X Of Illinois I'd like to do a video on it. Putting each on exactly half of a truck bed and then start hauling wood, diesel fuel, brush and tools. Things contractors normally handle. I dislike V6 Challengers, Mustangs, and Camaros, simply because I feel that for a muscle car, it's meant to be heavy, mean, fast, and built like a boat, with a honkin' big V8 stuffed under the hood. With all that being said, there's nothing wrong with having a V6 in a muscle body. Not everyone can also afford the V8 models. The SS, GT, RT (ZL1, Z28, GT350, GT500, SRT8, SRT8 Hellcat, etc, etc) is also not for everyone. Most people who own the V6 models don't also care much for power, competitive show, or racing; they probably just like how it looks - and most of the new ones come with some pretty nice equipment. And for those who hate on people because they have a V6, where's your V8? If you got one, how about picking on some folks in your lane? I assure you also, that some of these V6 Big Threes have some mods that could probably put a V8 to shame.
@heychevrolet2998 жыл бұрын
Jin Rayo the sad part about those jdm cars the v6 camaro mustang and challenger are like 320 horse well the camaro is. They will make good v8 swaps down the road just like the old era cars did
@pineappleginseng15578 жыл бұрын
Oh, definitely. V8 swapping is a little bit more expensive than just buying the GT/SS/(S)RT models of the Big Three muscle cars, but they still make some formidable opponents. As for JDM and Euro V6 engine cars, them's no joke LOL.
@Xelvielll7 жыл бұрын
Its really simple to take a 3.6 challenger and put the 5.7 in. I can't speak for the 6.4, which will run you way more, but if you look around you can easily engine swap a 5.7 for under 6000.Honestly, unless you're dead set on wanting that extra 70 HP, you could just buy the vortech supercharger, which will put you over 400 HP and doesn't require anything drastic done to the car (I would recommend a transmission swap to the RT).

I must say, that grille is BADASS! The Rhino Liner turned out awesome, nice job! I will say you are 100% right and spot on with the imbalance of the entire car being sprayed, I just saw a Challenger yesterday with a matte green paint, not sure if it was plasti-dip or not. But it was peeling in the wheel wells and near where the mud flaps screw on, showing the original color of Header/Hemi Orange Pearl(whichever its called). Completely ruined the car, and such a nice rare color too.
