As an SRT Challenger (2012) for the last decade and a brand new owner of a 2023 Hellcat Charger Jailbreak Widebody as of 5 days ago....i recommend buying the side marker lights with smoked out plastic vs the tint. The light will be better (Led) and will look and last much longer

I just bought a '23 Scat Pack in White Knuckle, and the first thing I did was take off the black wheels and put on 5-spoke aluminum wheels. Not bright and gaudy, more of a subdued look (called Anthracite). But I hate black wheels on every frickin' vehicle, especially mine😂

I have been a GM guy my entire life. For the past 23 years all I have driven are some of the hottest cars GM and Pontiac has ever made. I decided two weeks ago to buy a new car as it was time to give my 2012 SS Camaro a little rest (daily driver). I will never get rid of her as she's still amazing. At any rate, as I'm looking at newer Camaro's for the first time in my life I just wasn't happy at what I was looking at. Not one new Camaro in any trim looked like an American muscle/pony car and I decided to look at something else... Thankfully, I saw an amazing yellow and black Dodge Challenger RT+P for sale that was at the right price. I test drove her and bought her then and there. I know, it's not a Scat or Hellcat Redeye but as my first Dodge I wanted to start smaller as I just don't know the cars. Well...too say I am impressed is an understatement. If I still feel this way this time next year, I will buy a Challenger Hellcat. Hell, maybe I get one sooner and give my RT to my fiancee.

I put blackout headlights and a black billet grill on my challenger. I also put some matte black louvers on my vehicle that makes it look really aggressive. I'd add to paint the calipers as well. I've had my challenger since 2012 and I just now started to customize it in 2020...if you got a challenger with 17s on it then upgrade to 20s or 22s. 20s come standard now but didn't when I picked up mine.

Just got a 2018 Challenger R/T Plus 2 weeks ago and I have already done just about everything on the list, with the addition of gloss black lug nuts and wheel locks. These are definitely "must do's" for a modern Challenger. Not sure if I'll get around to installing an oil catch can, but I'm definitely going to splurge on some wider Hellcat style rims soon :)

Our house had a 2012 RT. Exhaust was replaced, so it was LOUD! Scared a few people. Traded that in, got a 2015 scatpack. Modified the exhaust. Was loud, but not as loud as the RT. Now we have a 2016 hellcat, mods done to that exhaust. It is sometimes embarrassing how loud it is when it starts. Especially in the morning and especially a really cold start. I had a Durango and recently traded in for a 2016 RT shaker. My husband is already wanting to do things to it. It already has cutouts that have a remote that can open and close them. So I don’t have to be loud all the time.

So I just got a 2018 Challenger about 7 weeks ago. Its a standard edition i believe, it doesn't say R/T, SXT, SRT or anything like that. Its just a 3.6L V6 engine. I'm really thankful that I found this video and watched it to get tips on what I should do to my Challenger. But I would to meet one day with MOPAR and learn more!! Though, I live in Georgia haha, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for more videos on what to do. Im not apposed to more pointers either!! Have a great day!!

I honestly think the splitter guard looks cool, even if yes, it will overtime damage your splitter. I think a more logical idea would be to have a yellow strip painted onto the splitter for aesthetic reasons.

I think the guy before I bought his car 2017 SRT is a disciple of yours, film on side markers, got rid of chrome emblems, elim. resonators, Limo tinted, catch can. He went farther with braces under hood and in trunk and lowered the car 2 inches. New grille emblems are on the way to me.

Got everything you mentioned done except the exhaust. We travel a lot with the car so I don’t want to piss off my family on 1500mile drives. I would also recommend swapping the marker lights out to the full led ones. They look so much better.

I swapped my side marker lights with lights that have smoked lenses. I didn't even bother with tinting them. I also, got a Corsa sport axle back exhaust but I'm considering cutting out the mid mufflers. I've done a few more tasteful mods and I'm considering a few more to my challenger scat pack widebody manual.

I love my chrome, I want more chrome. I'm not a sheep that is too afraid to admit I like something because it's "out". For me the biggest lacking element in these new(ish) chargers and challengers is chrome, chrome to me exemplifies an era of muscle cars and style. My point is, it's your car, make it look the way you want it to and don't give a damn what other people think. I don't like the shaved door handles, no chrome, blacked out look but I won't go around telling people it's ugly, it's just not my taste. I want a chrome grille, chrome badges, chrome trim and chrome bumpers, it makes me smile. Oh and 60s style chromed steel drag wheels....... yeah those are so freaking cool. I have never liked the whole low profile tire thing, I like nice meaty tires that look ready to rip a quarter mile. It all takes me back to working on muscle cars with my dad on weekends growing up. Do what makes you grin from ear to ear and enjoy your ride.

I love what you said. He talked about these cars being meant to look like early '70s era cars so they should have retro plates. Well, '70s era had lots of chrome too and chrome will always be cool. Like you said, it's your car so make it yours. I'm a leader not a follower. I do what I like. I couldn't care less what is "in style." Sounds like you do the same. I wish I could see your car. If I have my 67 Mercury Cougar, I say chrome and big wheels all day! If I have my modern muscle, the old school rims don't look right on them, they look out of place. The sleekness of the "blacked out" is what is "in" today. Do what makes you happy, but he does have a point that Chrome has its place, just not necessarily with modern cars.

Just bought my 2020 Hellcat Redeye and absoluterly love it. This video was awesome and highly informative. Since I bought it used, 12k miles, windows were already tinted, but had the yellow protector on front though. Its coming off today LOL. First thing I am doing is the exhaust as suggested . Your Challenger Looks Mean, Wow. But i Disagree with you about the Chrome Removal. I Own a 2018 Challenger RT & i have 22 inch Chrome Wheels with the Chrome Gas Cover & It Looks Clean & Bad Ass. Its Dark Grey & i put Red Decal Stripping, Red Hood Inserts with Red Interior Leather & to Be Honest, This Grey & Red Theme with the Chrome Look Turns Heads Constantly. Definitely not although...I bought a yellow and black Dodge Challenger RT+P two weeks ago and it gets incredible gas mileage. When I picked mine up it was roughly 60 miles from my home. The dealership filled it up to the brim with 91 octane. I kept MDS on (runs on only 4 cylinders) and I'm not kidding you, my tank was still full when I got home 60 some odd miles later. Bumper to bumper traffic for 25 of those miles and it was getting 26-27mpg no joke. I actually thought my gas guage was broken and I pulled into a local fuel station near my home because I thought my guage was broken. I told the teller 50 bucks and started pumping 93 octane. I got to 1.28 before it refused to take anymore fuel. It actually spilled out of the tank causing me to wipe her down clean very quickly. Later that day I turned on Sport Mode and within 20 minutes of driving like a jackass I burned through a quarter of gas. Relief and disbelief all at the same time. Meanwhile my 2012 SS Camaro that my father was following me in was at a half of a tank by the time we got home. Yes, my SS is faster but the difference was...I still can't believe it.

I love my sxt plus! I had my heart set on the RT but just as u said it wasn't practical for daily driven car. So the sxt plus it was an it still has balls tho. I am happy with my decision.

I also bought an SXT bc I was unsure...I now drive a hellcat all it did was fuel my love for these cars...Don't waste your time spend the money get the upgraded version you won't regret it

I bought a 2016 orange hellcat last week, supercharged. My 2019 scat pack needed a friend. They are both standard tranny. I am now building a scat/shaker 2022, I can’t afford any 2023’s, but I am happy , I love the challenger and am upset, but I know I have something special. I’m sure most if not all of you are upset, mixed feelings and emotional about the end of the challenger, and the hemi. What to do? I don’t want the future.

7:26 It honestly depends on the car! I wouldn’t remove the chrome of a classic Challenger. You also mentioned that chrome went out of style when you left high school (over 20 years ago?). Chrome was definitely in style around 20 years ago!

Great video! I'm about to get my first Dodge most likely this summer. I've been wanting a Challenger for a few years and have been researching it and joined the main forums. I currently drive a 16GT and its a decent car, but I've had 3 Mustangs and just want something different with a little more torque. I know I want a 392, but can't decide on the trim. I keep going back and forth between a loaded regular Scat Pack, 1320, widebody or 50th. I'm leaning towards the 50th and would love the WB version, but know that it is going to be too pricey as I would like to keep it no more than 45k (after rebates and discounts). The 1320 actually looks to be the best bang for the buck, but wish you could get some color in the interior as I really like the new Caramel option. I do know I want to get either octane, sinamon stick or gold school. The 50th anniversary also looks to be a good deal with what you get in the package assuming you can get one at sticker minus some rebates, but I'm a bit worried about the flat black paint and wraps. I use to wash my own car more, but have to admit I'm getting a little lazier as I age and want something easy to take care of and can just go through the car wash. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the ceramic coating lately, but not sure how it would work with the satin areas? If I can find a place that could do a decent job in the 500-600 range that would be great, but most seem to be over a grand in my area. Sorry about the long rant and long post, but I will be following.

There are a LOT of salvage Challengers...most with major front end damage(for some unknown reason). You can probably get a pair of seats out of one of them.

Hey there, at 54 years old, female, just purchased my dream car last week. I have always loved the Challenger and found the one I wanted. I purchased a 2017 Dodge Challenger, R/T, Scat Pack, 392 HEMI!!!!! I have named her Midnight!!!! My husband, who is a super motor, as well as my self. I am super looking forward to viewing your videos. My husband, had a 2005 Dodge Daytona, Truck, which he keeps under lock and key. We are big Dodge fans for sure!!! There is only 1 thing I would like to do to my Midnight. Obviously, I want the windows tinted more, legally of course. Any suggestions? BTW, I am in Massachusetts. Is there a club?

Remember to note that every $1,000 dollars you put down is only about $20 off the monthly payment. Sometimes it’s worth it to just pay another 20 on the monthly than waste thousands of your hard earned money up front. GAP insurance from the dealer is crucial, just buy it and save the headache 💪🏼anything else other than GAP insurance is unnecessary. Try for the lowest interest rate possible with a payment that still fits your budget of course all based off your credit. Most loans average at 5-6 or even 7 years but never more than that. Never heard of the ceramic coating before, that's a great tip. I've been going with Zaino products but I think for my next car I'll try the ceramic option when it's new. A new Sinnamon Stick Scat Pack is what I am thinking of, with my 2017 RT being used as a trade in.

Added the ceramic paint protection when I picked up my car RT Daytona. The cost was $600 from the dealer. My previous Charger (RT Max) had the Zylon coating which was awesome too.

Catch can on the new Hellcat and Redeye engine is built into the valve covers. It works at catching the oil and sending it back into the crankcase.
