@@CM-jm6ui Yes this seems to be case as advertisements for the SS were non existent. We have a ute (truck) and wagon variations of the SS. I have two SSV sport wagons both V8s. My wifes one is 6.0 ltrs and mine is 6.2 LSA with 2650 Harrop blower. If you have dropbox I can send you a photo. I am very proud of these cars and their origins in Holden Australia and the mix of Australian and US engineering really got this car right.

Me too. I have a 2013 impala ltz, and it’s solid for what it is. With a meaner looking body style and bringing back the SS Impalas; theyd fare well. GM fucks up everything they do eventually though. Look at them with Pontiac and now with Chevrolet. I’ve given up on them for everything but trucks, I don’t expect anything in the future from them

You don’t need to put the shifter in manual to let the car shift for itself. Keep it in auto and still use the paddles to downshift and hit the gas. The car will automatically shift by itself when it get close to redlining

I have a soft spot for the SS since I have a G8 which got the same treatment from GM. It’s sad that GM has no desire to market their vehicles that aren’t Camaros or Trucks and let these gems die after 2-3 years. Chargers have been flying out of the showrooms since they made em a sedan so there’s clearly a market for fast sedans they just had no interest in trying to compete

@@Bossman_71 My mistake. I got the names mixed up, it is the Caprice PPV that is the same car. I had a 2013 with a 6.0L, and they come with the 48LE truck transmission. Complete sleeper, surprised MANY people with it.

@@Bossman_71 It is pretty much the exact same car as the GTO and the Impala SS. It's an L98 6.0, 355 hp-384 tq. What makes it cool is all the heavy duty cop car stuff it has. Cooling system, suspension, brakes, bigger transmission, etc. All for pretty cheap.

470hp? They run about 390hp to the wheels stock . So you got 80hp with headers and tune ??? The SS should have at least 465hp to 480hp to the wheels . Nothing adds up
