Dodge ram ac vents problem repair

2002 dodge ram Ac vacuum line repair without dash removal. Air was only coming out of the front vents.

Thanks for the tip! I have a 97 Dodge Ram 5.9 (which doesn’t have that fancy accessibility behind the glove box). I pulled out the original vacuum tube just a little and I was lucky enough for the break in the line to be right there. So I pulled it out just enough to to fit some shrink tube around it (where the break in the line was). After doing that I wrapped some Electric tape around it and finished it off with repositioning (the T) with some zip-ties. If anyone has the same problem please reply and I’ll try to answer your questions thanks.

Worked for me.... My vac line was broken inside the engine compartment, just b4 insertion into the fire wall. Repaired using 1/8th inch i.d. fuel line hose to join the two.

1/8 inch rubber vacuum hose.is what you are trying to say. Coupla bucks a foot.

I have the same problem on my 2002 Ram 1500, and most vids advise to take off/out the "flap" that closes as seen on your vid, but that was not the problem since my a/c only blows at the defrost, in any setting. Would your vid fix that.

My 2001 ram 3500 only blows to the defrost as well, did you ever find the fix

You might need to replace the climate control panel, mine was doing the same thing before the vacuum leak. After I replaced that it worked perfect

What if only one vent doesn't blow are and the other do?. I have a 2014 ram 3500 maybe you can lead me in the right direction

Sorry for the late reply, your vehicle probably has electric blend door servos. One could be bad

Hola, buenas tardes. Suena cómo si tuvieras un problema con una de las mangueras de vacío (vacuum) o donde connectan. Si estuviera rota por completo tiraría el aire por el defrost todo el tiempo.

I already did that, I took out the black hose, which is the one that feeds from the vacuum system to the ignition switch, but the air still doesn't work for me.

This vacuum line is to operate the blend door. When it brakes, air only comes out of the defrost vent. You can see the vent opening at the end of the video. You might have another problem.

That's a vacuum line. It has suction to operate the blend door actuator.

I'm having this problem and my hose broke just above the valve in the engine bay so now I need to do what you did and take the glove box out and see if I can splice it back together
