I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I’m in real estate with my wife. She started in that down market…lots of short sales. I had a loaded Scat Pack in 2017. It was a great car, but I sold it when my kids started driving. Recently went to look at another and was told they were giving 10-15% off just before the end of the year. Sat down and when it got down to where the rubber meets the road, they came in over 6k above MSRP. It was a decently optioned car, but wasn’t a wide body either. It was quite offensive, the dealership’s sales manager thought that I was that stupid. Needless to say, I walked and didn’t even make a counter offer. I live in a military town, and sadly, I think they will sell that car to some unsuspecting Soldier… Also, you earned a new subscriber.

That sucks dude. Sorry to hear that. Same exact thing happened when we went to by my daughters Supra last year. The dude said “my friend, my friend” so many times I thought he wanted to move in with us. When we got down to the numbers he tried to slide in $2500 in add ons. I told him to remove them and he took $500 off and at that point my wife and I told him he was not “our friend” and we walked and bought one from another dealer. It’s exhausting how they just assume everyone is stupid until they find someone who falls for it.

He know ALL the bad stuff that dealers do to customers but now he doesn't work for them and he works for the customer. He gets the best deals and best rate's, if the dealer won't give deals he tells you to walk. He is really good, he gets paid by a fee he charges in which is so cheap compared to what dealer is going to charge. He knows dealership can't lie to him because he knows the books and tricks they do. He loves to help people that just don't know how shady these dealerships are. Great video! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hell, I bought somebody's car, and didnt know about it until I post it on a FB group. Talk about feeling like dirty and trash. This has broken so many hearts, and the markups biggest secondary effect is increasing their desirability on the black market. So many cars were stolen, and once that happens, we lose a brother. Its too bitter, and I cant blame them for never wanting to get back into Mopar. It was hell just editing, having to go over things, and remember all the sad stories, that I may even move away from Mopar videos for a while.

You're forgetting - Dodge did this on purpose, and it is the second time they did it - the same thing happened with the 2018 Demon. They completely support and endorse the dealers screwing their customers. There is no legitimate reason why they couldn't build thousands more Demon170's to make sure everyone who wanted one got one at MSRP. They build 60K challengers per year, even with running the plant for 2 shifts instead of 3, and closing the plant down multiple times per year. It takes the same amount of time to build a Demon as it does any of the other models.

And I was wondering, if these are msrp of 125k, plus another 100k markup, how are banks financing these? Are dealers expecting the 100k as a down payment? Because insurance companies will cover what the vehicle is worth, not what you paid, and banks know this as well. If you could clarify what the process was that would be awesome! Keep up the fantastic content.

The average dealership has about 80 employees and they all need to get paid at the end of the month , now when it comes to demon everyone thinks MSRP it’s fair but on other cars isn’t and want to pay less than sticker, you get my point 😎

And you must be a car salesmen by the sound of your grammar and insane example. You left off the tax benefits, you forgot that once you pay it off you live for free other than taxes and maintenance, if you rent it out you collect income for the rest of your life, based on history, all you have to do to net more money is wait longer. Based on your logic you should rent? Ok, so just $2000 a month for 30 years is $720,000 and you literally have nothing to show for it and will have paid off the landlords house. I have a duplex right now that costs us nothing to own and the mortgage is being paid off by the tenants. It cost $600k to buy 10 years ago and now it’s worth $1.1 mil and it’s 1/3 paid off by the tenants. Honestly, you are so beyond lost with your thinking that it’s frightening that you could even formulate a coherent sentence with such flawed logic. When I retire my wife and I will have a min of 2 properties paying us $8000 month in rent both of which were paid off by someone else. This year we will buy one more probably in the desert for $600k and rent it out for the payment or even a bit more and let that tenant pay it off for us. When we die we will leave several million dollars in hard assets to our daughter where she can take the $10k month in income or sell them and buy 20 hellcats. 🤣

@ocmotivator11 ай бұрын
I’ve talked about this in the past. Dodge could’ve easily updated and refreshed the Challenger, added a 3rd model and called it a Cuda, or simply replaced the Challenger with a Cuda with massive updates 5-6 years ago or even today and they’d have tapped into a massive new rush to get the new model. Instead they made the same (albeit cool) Challenger and Charger for 15 years with minimal updates on the tech, interior or body. They could’ve even made the new “Charger Banshee” into a Cuda and revived the old Plymouth era memories and tapped into that nostalgia. Seemed like a no brainer since the platform was already made. But instead, we got the Hornet so I guess that’s something. 🤦♂️
@3602go11 ай бұрын
With all do respect, Dodge making car and calling it a Cuda, would have been disrespectful to Plymouth and Cuda enthusiasts in general. Let the dead remain dead, Dodge was more than successful with the Challenger and all of it's sub-models, no need reaching across from another brand and bringing back a Model from the 70's. I also never liked the Trans Am's based on the Camaro that have been proposed over the years either. Thanks for your response, I enjoy your video's. @@ocmotivator

To be fair to the dealerships point 99% of people can not find a demon 170 at msrp at a dealership the demand for them far out weighs the supply if the 50-100k mark up was so insane they would still be sitting there in your last video you mention how they should give the demon to butter because he will not find one they are pretty much all gone already I can understand the frustration with dealers charging more than the suggested retail but perhaps that lends itself to a different conversation that the msrp should have been higher in the first place dodge dropped the ball on there own end giving that extra money to the dealers instead of themselves on the invoice

The msrps are already too high ,they have skyrocketed since 2020 ,they definitely don't need to be any higher ,What does need to happen tho is the morons that pay these ridiculous markups need to stop (but that won't happen) many of the people who pay these crazy prices aren't even rich ,im better off than a bunch of them and I wont pay it.

@@frankie072 I can understand where your coming from with most dodge vehicles I was only talking about the demon 170 specifically i definitely agree mark ups on even hellcats and scats are crazy when they produce as many of them as they did
