1970 was the only time the challenger had huge sales. 1968 was the highest selling year for the charger. All other years they sold smaller numbers even today.

Dodge should’ve developed some kind of Hybrid V8 option, and did a slight redesign for both the charger/chally. Even tho it would most likely not satisfy as much as the V8’s we have now, Im sure we’d be able to live with it. They also should’ve done a slight redesign on both. Those 2 things could easily keep Dodge on top. If they don’t come up with some kind of compromise for us muscle car enthusiasts then they gonna go right back to the 90’s when Dodge was irrelevant.

As I Mopar hard-core I believe Dodge is faced with the fact that the Hemi is a big powerful engine with heavy pollution and mechanical failing issue that Dodge can't deal with anymore. The hemi ranked last compared to the LS and Coyote engines.

Dodge is a performance brand and that means EVs. They can't make an ICE car with the same performance for the same price. The question for Dodge is will they be able to sell EVs when they are late to the game.

They already have the platforms developed, I honestly think they’re playing a marketing ploy with keeping its enthusiast on the hook. Although, it is confusing that they put Kuniskis in charge of RAM as well. But all these delays could turn them down the 80-90s road.

Will Dodge survive? Yeah they will if the K car couldn't kill them then nothing will. One thing you have to know about Mopar fan boys is they are fiercely loyal. I watch them suffer rebuilding 60 and 70's cars keeping them alive until Dodge came back with a car worthy of their legacy. The Charger and Challenger will be around for years even though they aren't building any new ones.
