Jack went 13-7 in 28 starts this season with an ERA of 3.17. He is a solid pitcher. So this performance was not out of the blue. The man averaged 6 IP per start during this season, got 4th in Cy young voting in 2019, and had a solid career with several teams. If any Pitcher would have pitched 7 innings like this, it would've been Flahrety. The thing is consistency. I just don't know how many of these games Jack has in him.

He was a punk and a troublemaker as a Dodger and he's even worse now. You cannot name one single player on that team that can spell, much less exhibit a single ounce of humility. Tonight, when Freddie more or less fell into Mookie's arms at home plate...That was the heart of a true ball player. If Mookie weighed 10 pounds less or was 2 inches shorter...he would have dropped him. But they would have gone down together!
