I kind of feel bad for them. I do enjoy their personalities and swagger. They’re entertaining, and they have a passionate fan base. So to go 24 innings without a run is probably the most shocking thing to happen all season. I dont even want to make fun of them for that. It’s just crazy. I say this as a dodgers fan who loves our intense rivalry with the Padres. A rivalry is only good if both teams are really good, so I hope there are many more showdowns in the postseason between us!!!

Those people that say Shohei Ohtani sucks in this series versus the Padres probably didn’t watch the games or pay any attention at all or both. Shohei Ohtani, by far, deliver the most important hit in this series during game 1 when he hit that 3 run homer. That home run change everything. If it weren’t for that home run that Ohtani hit I think it’s safe to say that they’re probably in Cancun by now.

I think it was crucial that each player contributed in the series one way or another. Everyone contributing in a single game really doesn’t help in mlb playoff when it’s multiple games. Which multiple players have their own moment in a series, spreading out clutch moments, that’s how you when a series. That being said, the bullpen was clutch throughout the series.

But my point is that if weren’t for that 3 run home run by Ohtani, there is a very high likelihood that the Dodgers would have been swept 3-0 by the the Padres just like last year when they were swept by the Diamondbacks. I think we both and most people that follows the games would agree on this.

Was nice to see machado and co lose the series. Easy player to dislike after the years of his antics that just continue. Only feel for Yu Darvish he pitched well but you aren’t gonna win a series when you don’t score in almost 3 straight games. Gonna be interesting to see how Dodgers play the rest of the way. There pitching is thin and they have other injuries such as Freeman. They are just trying to survive game to game.
