Doepfer Dark Time Does Ambient

Here the Dark Time's midi signals trigger the System 1 synth where the filter and amp envelopes are set for a smooth attack and slow release.
The Dark Time's tone dials are then adjusted throughout to create a dark ambient soundscape. Subtle adjustments are occasionally made to the System 1's filter cut-off.
All sounds are from the System 1 synth (offscreen) except for the VP-330 strings and Mellotron choir played on the Keystep through the M-VS1, also offscreen.

The DT copes well with ambient soundscapes. Adjusting the tone dials instead of playing a keypad can be quite therapeutic. Cheers for the sub!

Yes, the DT does have a fine analogue feel to it. The dials and switches are quite precise for signal tweeking. Pleased you like it.

Although I've had my DT for about a year, I'm still finding new ways it can interact with its host. Setting a scale helped massively, keeping unwanted notes at bay. Cheers for the sub and welcome aboard 😎👍.

Dark Time midi out to System 1 midi in. On this occasion the DT was receiving its 58bpm clock from the MX1 (MX1 midi out to DT midi in).
