Yes! Ecofan is the original and the authentic woodstove fan helps you feel warmer, faster, for less! Thanks for reviewing and sharing.

@EcofanbyCaframo my fan stopped working! We just started using it 3 months ago. How do I get a replacement?

We’ve had our Ecofan 812 for 20 years now, and it is truly fantastic. Now it has developed an imbalance and started making noise, so time to either refurbish (new blade and motor) or just get a new one. The only mechanical thing that has lasted longer than this thing is my Volvo 940. Great product.

I know you are offering your own experience in your review. I have two Ecofans on top of my 2011 Drolet Pyro Pak wood stove, an original fan that I rebuilt last year and a newer model, and I have thermometers all over my cottage to monitor the heat flow. I have no trouble maintaining a 20 degree C temperature throughout my place...no blower. Totally silent except for a hint of wind.

That's awesome! Most of the time we can heat our whole place without the blower but we have a long bungalow so doesn't always get to the bedrooms at the end. Although sleeping cold is good anyway! Thanks for the comment!

Thank you for the great video. We have a wood burning brick fireplace with a brick hearth. Do you think the Ecofan can help push hot air from a fireplace? Thank you.

Hello there! I don't think an EcoFan would work for a brick fireplace. It needs a metal surface to sit on. Maybe a computer fan near the side of the fireplace? That would probably work really well. Thanks for the comment and happy wood heating!

I use a 6 inch diameter computer fan that runs on 12 volts. For the 12 volt power I use a small 12 volt battery that I charge with solar. The computer fan pushes out MUCH more air and yet is almost as quite as the Ecofan. I put the computer fan on an empty food tin can so it does not become too hot. The cost for the computer fan & small 154 watt/hr battery ~$ 45 US.

Nice! That's a great idea! I love that you recharge the fan with solar. Thanks for the comment.

Nice review. It doesn’t look like you have any kind of heat shield to protect the wall. Does this stove not require it or is that some kind of special wall? It looks very nice. Thank you again for your time.

Hello there and thanks for the comment. You're right we don't have a heat shield. This stove is designed not to get warm at the back so the distance from the wall can be a lot less. I can actually touch the back of the stove with my hand so it's pretty cool! Pun intended!

Thank you. Our Eco fan Air Max is 3 months old and just stopped working. We use it on our woodburning insert. I am wondering if it needs maintenance.

I am having the same problem although ours is five years old. I checked it out and they shouldn’t need maintenance. The motor can burn out though, but yours is way too new for that! You should email the company and see if they can help you. I am going to do the same thing. Thanks for watching!

@@Boobtube. yes, apparently I can buy a replacement motor for about 25$ Canadian. My fan is definitely past warranty. Yours shouldn't be, you should definitely contact Caframo and ask about that! When I get the replacement motor I will do a video about how do that!

What kind of wood stove do you have? Brand name? How much square footage do you have to heat?

Our stove is a Regency F450 and it heats our 3000sq ft house all day and night even with temps down to minus 15 Celsius. We love that thing! Thanks for watching!

What I don’t understand is; if there is hot air at the bottom (stove level) and cold air at the top were the fins are, how is it that it blows the hot air and not the cold air into the room?
@idamandahomestead4221
@idamandahomestead4221 Жыл бұрын
It’s actually the difference in temperature that causes the electric current. It’s the difference between the super hot stove top and the cooler (although still really hot) air above. So it’s pushing the heated air. Does that make sense? Thanks for watching!

Sorry for the delayed reply, I didn’t see this comment. We usually put some of them on our gardens for fertilizer. We rotate which bed so it won’t damage the soil. We also put some down where we want to kill weeds. What do you use yours for?

If you are not using the blower you are losing a lot of heat.
