Annie turns into Darth Annie towards the end of video, just playing, think the sound is distorted, great stuff, What was cool about studying and learning about alcoholism which I did entirely on KZbin is I was having withdrawals every week, haha, would drink 3 to 4, 5 days a week, then be pretty much sickly for 2 or 3 days, sweats, intense anxiety, loss of appetite, severe dehydration (my face skin seem to feel that the most), depression, it sucked, then when I started to feel better the old I am going to go for a meal and grab a drink, turns into, shot/beer, no meal ordered, lol, then a lil bender, just long enough to forget, then again, then again, for a very long time. I don't struggle to stay sober now, or think about how to drink less or quit, I know what is true for me and that's all I need to know, now I have a choice, as is main in your teaching, it's a conscious choice, however, I know deeply how making a conscious choice is difficult when you are unconsciously living, what a concept;) (sarcasm) and also so true. Would be so cool to see a program that starts with a spiritual practice without even asking someone to stop completely, maybe enough to be able to read and listen somewhat sober, but to see how that will WAKE UP the person that cannot seem to make the choice for themselves, because they are not themselves, that is called ego in the most generic form., then the therapy to becoming as sober as a person actually chooses would be much simpler. Spontaneous Sobriety for the win!!!! good stuff

Love hearing about your success and how spontaneous sobriety worked for you.

Unfortunately for me, I Don't have a doctor or medical Insurance and I Live in a secluded area. *(I Know this video is older)* but i wish KZbin had doctors with this mindset that can Legally tell people how safe or not safe from withdrawal they will be. However, I Drink between 4 - 8 beers a night. I Alternate. some nights i'll have only 4, others i'll have up to 8 drinks. No liquor. just beer.

Hope you're able to find someone who can give you guidance on this. Perhaps a telemedicine visit could help?

Online medicine is soooo helpful and affordable nowadays. You should look into it!

Exact same for me!!!!!!! I am a single mom of 2 so I can't do an inpatient treatment. If you have stopped how? Good to know someone is like me. I only drink beer either a 4 pack of 16oz or a couple regular size beers. You can't talk to a dr because they are super judgemental and later if you absolutely need pain meds for say like a root canal or the like they will only give you tylenol.

What is a long time to drink. I had about 4 or 6 and got a good buzz for each time for about 10 days

It varies for everyone. It's really not about how much you drink but about how you feel about it emotionally.

My withdrawals were persistent headache and extreme tiredness lasted around 2 and half weeks

That was probably compounded by dehydration.

Beer taste good. Sometimes I have 12 sometimes I have six sometimes I have one.... sometimes I have none. It has to be a psychological thing for people I'm guessing.

Drinking mindfully and paying attention to what it is doing to you emotionally and physically is so important.
