I've used a few as the companies have raised or lowered the pea level's. Gumout high mileage fuel system cleaner, techron system cleaner and redline p1. Every fuel injection cleaner I've looked up was always far less useful than that same companies system cleaner. Though the price is usually very close.

Sea Foam, Berrymans, are great on 2 Strokes. The best I have used yet is Gum Out Tune Up. One bottle per tank of gas. I'm only through one half tank of fuel and pull my plugs with about 25,000 to 30,000 miles on them and was amazed to see how the Gum Out knocked off carbon at the base of the plugs down to the surface where the base looks brank new. Scotty Kilmer turned me onto this stuff. My engine has nearly 200,000 miles on it. Scotty said to run one bottle to a tankful of gasoline for about three to 4 tankfuls. Gum Out has PEA as one ingredient that really seems to work. Sea Foam I have used on old carbed engines and yes it worked but, for todays cars I would use something more modern without all the Naptha in it.

Lucas work perfectly on my mitsubishi Triton turbo diesel. Other product from Lucas I used is the auto transmission quick slip fix. (mechanic told us the trans got few month a year of life if we are lucky. After 5, 6 years the old Subaru with 380000 on da clock still running mint) Thanks Lucas 👌

I'm a Engineer, Racing Engine Builder for over 40 years. Thee most important bit of information you can say, is to use the product of choice, according to instructions. My personal recommendation, and my only product used in my personal Race Engines, Racing Motorcycles and on my Dyno if needed, is REDLINE. Next would be the CHEVRON TECHRON, or LUCAS. 🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸

Red line, amsoil pi, and RP max clean and max boost are all very good in cleaning. My GT has 130k miles and idles better now than at 30k miles. Mpg winner is amsoil pi. Red line cleans the most carbon. Every time I fill up I put in a 1/4 bottle of max boost in. It gets carbon out and keeps the injectors clean. Need some insurance from the max boost since I have a 91 octane performance tune

Naptha is essentially a low odor paint thinner. It's used in everything from cleaning surfaces for beauty products to actual paint thinner sold under the name Gamsol.

Yes it works. My truck was sputtering on start-up because I think I may have put in contaminated gas. I emptied a container of stp fuel injector cleaner and my truck roars on startup. No more sputtering.

Same here 2017 Ram started acting up hard starting taken it to the dealer tested pump was fine they did ask if I used injector cleaner I said yes told me to stop using it these fuel pumps don't like it. Been good ever since.

Try green Lucas methanol fuel treatent. If you can keep it running it will clean a carburetor up in 15 minutes.

I used Redline consistently for 285,000 miles...i burned one of the intake valves due to not loosening them...we pulled the heads and the intake and exhaust valves were almost spotless..you could wipe the carbon deposits off with a paper towel. ( after taking the head apart)...poly ether amines work very well.!

The valves needed loosened due to them stretching from heat cycles...and maybe the valves seats wearing a little...The Redline had nothing to do with that.

Okay I'm a little confused so which one would you use if any? I've been using Lucas on and off on my 2011 Jeep compass. But the other day I found a bottle of STP fuel injector cleaner put it in a full tank, because I have noticed a ticking noise from the engine. I did noise that the ticking noise seems to be lower than what it was so maybe it help the fuel injector.

I have seen different benefits of multiple cleaners. Lucas is great for long-term maintenance. Stp is a good complete fuel system cleaner. Redline is especially good for most things but not for monthly uses.

@@JillyBean860 yes the Techron worked. Use the full bottle when your tank gets to a little over a 1/4 empty and drive it till almost empty. You'll get the best benefit that way.

I dropped 2 bottles (32 oz) of Seafoam into my Tundra (24 gal). No noticeable difference. Same gas mileage, same performance. I guess as preventative maintenance it's ok, but if you are looking for a Wow factor, it wont be there. 🤷

I've tried STP full fuel system cleaner on 1998 galant.. It made it run better.. But now i would like to try any cleaner in my company truck with conventional diesel engine that mechanics suggest to do a calibration and conditioning of injection pump and injectors on it.. Emission is at it's worst right now.. And i feel so sorry for the environment..

My 2014 Dodge 3.6L had cylinder misfires. I added the Lucus fuel injector cleaner to a full tank of gas and the problem quickly went away. When the tank got down to 3 gallons or more the problem came back. I added Gumout fuel injector cleaner and the problem went away after driving the van briefly. I'm not convinced the injector cleaner cleared the problem but has anyone had a similar experience?

Some people use it for engine flushes. Add diesel to the motor oil, run it for a minute or two and then drain it. But don’t ever run diesel in a gas car for fuel, or do a mix of diesel and gas. Diesel has an octane rating equivalent to ~30AKI if I remember correctly. You’ll get all kinds of knock eventually leading to failure. Run a tank of gas in a diesel engine: Not optimal but it’ll survive relatively unscathed. Run a tank of diesel in a gas engine: You’ll kill it.

Alcohol isn't unsafe, cars run perfectly fine with alcohol in the fuel. Ethanol for example is pure grain alcohol, its a good cleaner in its own right, and a decent solvent. Its no more aggressive than normal gasoline, most vehicles run hundreds of thousands of miles with a mix of ethanol in the gas.

I've used 1 bottle of the Lucas Oil injector cleaner on my 98 Civic with 230k miles and it worked, it removed the hesitation, but the most noticeable thing it almost stopped the oil burn! I don't know why but I'm certain that almost stopped the oil burning (I checked the oil level almost every day), when the gas tank with the injector cleaner emptied, gradually the car started to burn oil... Maybe because of the polymers inside the Lucas Oil (as you mentioned in the video) and helped clean the valve seals, or piston head? Can I use continually the Lucas Oil, or should I try the ATP AT-205 reseal? Thanks

Word on the street is that AT-205 Re-Seal and Liquimoly Oil Saver are likely to seal up any leaks not related to torn seals, which nothing can fix. Make sure your distributor is not leaking. Mine is and AT-205 didn't help. Also check your hoses as oil saturation is not good for them. I will be draining coolant to change my wrecked coolant hoses below my disty. And since I'm doing that, the radiator and thermostat are getting replaced, and I'm going with HOAT coolant. One problem leads to another. BTW, I think this is all likely related to a jammed PCV valve that wasn't changed in a timely manner. Less than $10 and 5 minutes to change. Best to do that every 3-4 years or 30-40k miles.
