Praise the Lord! Yesterday I was struggling with this same question and at some point I felt so bad for doubting my children of God condition as if I were a second class child for not being super spiritual... So I repent and confess myself to my God. Today, my Glorious Dad in heaven sent pastor John to explain me His Marvelous way of particular love upon me. I have the Perfect Father I always wanted and needed to belong to. Praise the Lord for his particular love to all of their children. God bless you Pastor John. 🙏

A good question, though we should worry more about much, or little, we love God ourselves and how we love others.

Why does JP (several times) read or speak of John 3:16 and completely NOT say "believe IN HIM?" Our entire belief (and saving) system is ONLY that we believe IN HIM. Satan and the fallen angels "believe," but NOT "in Him." I so appreciate JP's teachings and God has truly used him in my life, but this didn't sit well with my soul...😔🤔🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Not all are made alive
@gregjay9933

In this video Piper states that it was God’s great love that made us alive and that it was because of His ‘peculiar’ love for the elect that they alone are made alive. If a person, while being dead, is made alive by God’s ‘peculiar’ love for them, and presumably being made alive means being saved, then Piper has just found a way to be saved without faith and repentance. I reckon I will stick to what the Bible says - God is good to all and shows mercy to all; He is infinite in love, rich in mercy and grace, and kind in all His deeds, and thus, ANYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.

One will need to be born again. Otherwise we are an enemy of God, child of wrath by nature, and will not call on the Lord. We love the darkness rather than the light. Naturally. So something happens on the inside God can only do. And the glory is all His. So no man can boast.

@@royceronningen9934 The thing I dislike most about the Calvinism debate is that Calvinists always ignore the point being made and dive straight into their own dogma. I have just raised the issue of Piper declaring that people are made alive (saved) by God’s love without the need for faith and repentance; this issue has not been addressed. I think the strangest dogma of all is the idea that responding positively to God’s appeal to be reconciled is somehow considered an act of boasting. Since when has receiving a gift been considered an act of boasting? When we receive gifts from family and friends we do not boast as if we have earned merit and yet receiving a gift from God somehow attracts merit. I agree that no one would call out to the Lord if God had not first reached out to man. But God has shown grace by reaching out to man through the prophets and their writing, the sending of His Son, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, the apostles and their writing, the preacher and the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. God’s grace is immeasurable and yet the Calvinist claims this grace is insufficient thus God needs to offer more grace by making the sinner alive so he can respond positively to His already immeasurable grace. Think again Calvinists!

We are raised with Him THROUGH FAITH (Col 2:12). The elect ones are not effectually raised unto faith as Piper seems to wrongly presume in this video. The “us” in 1:4-5 are “the faithful in Christ” of 1:1. We are elect in so far as we are in Him, the elect One.

You'd better be careful with your ministry, as I clearly see that you don't have any room for changing your doctrinal position. And that even lead you to create an entire ministry over the Great Doctrine of Salvation which is OF GOD HIMSELF, not 50% of GOD. That will always be so hard for you to change your position. Just keep going! One day.

Calvinism is a theological construct, brought to the Bible, but no derived from it. Yes, God loves the whole world, and it is not His will that anyone perish, however the fullness of the Love of God can only be experienced in Christ through faith and repentance. Sadly determinists willfully insist that it is Gods will is that some perish and that only a few be saved. This is in stark contrast to the explicit teachings of Scripture. God bless.
