@RicardoMoralesMassin
@RicardoMoralesMassin 3 жыл бұрын
@@sephiroth2689 luggage and baggage can both mean the same, as in an object to carry things in. But baggage has extra meaning because of the phrase "emotional baggage", that means when you carry trauma into your life and relationships. So he meant her problem is not the material thing (luggage) but her psychologic "baggage"

Thanks for addressing this topic Nikki. Height is something that you can't do anything about. A lot of us shorter guys feel overlooked and prejudged by a society that largely ignores this simple fact. I'm a very happy, well-adjusted, and confident person in general, but I fall into depression on occasion when I force myself to confront the ways that my height has possibly held me back in life.

The height vs weight thing is especially egregious bc you literally can’t do ANYTHING about your height, but you can about your weight. But Nikki is right that it’s really an online problem and you’re pretty ducking shallow if you have that rule. I’m 5’9 and perfectly happy with my height and never feel bad. Tall women more often don’t care about height, which I find interesting.

Oh man - this height thing hits the nail on the head. The one guy saying 5’7” is the breaking point. You feel the effects of being short, but 5’5” you’re totally screwed. 5’9” and above you’re mostly not passed up bc of your height. Have noticed as I’ve gotten to my upper 30s, it’s not nearly as big of a deal. The priority becomes a job and having your stuff together.

I'm a bit late to the party. Thank you for covering this topic! As a shorter male, dating is a painful struggle. I feel fortunate to be me for the most part. It's when I'm looking for a partner and know it's an uphill battle from the start. I try not to share my height on dating apps to give myself a fighting chance to win "her" over before the topic comes up. I've been called a liar for it. I figure that if I don't ask for it from you, it's ok to not just put it out there for you. A huge cross-section of this dating population also laments how shallow men are. Underestimation is also huge on this topic. "Well he's short, so you know that means he's not packing much" or "he's bad at being tall so he must be bad at everything." You kidding me?! A) Taller buddies and I have shared sizes and I'm on par, but you think everyone is proportionate in all ways. Not at all true dummy! B) I may try harder and therefore excel as a result in most arenas because I know I'm likely viewed as bad at everything because of my height. It's not over-compensating, it's overcoming...fine but important line. Which brings me to the mental health aspect. Women tell me confidence is a very important thing to help a man's attractiveness. However, a short confident man is over-compensating for his height. "He can't possibly be as confident as he exudes." F-off with that. I'm confident because I'm awesome. I've been successful in most aspects of life-except in attracting a height supremacist (aka roller coaster) like you! Not every short, confident man is suffering from Napoleon Complex. Some short, confident men (probably most) have fucking earned their confidence like any other person.

I don’t agree with the 5’5 comment. I’m 6ft and so many guys have told me they wouldn’t date me because of my height. Doesn’t matter if the date went well my height would be turned into a disadvantage. Frankly height differences is a social construct. Society has made it seem that the ideal couple the guy has to be taller and the girl shorter. Im 6ft and my boyfriend is 5’5 and honestly I don’t see a height difference, I know it’s there but not once have I cared. You only live once you should find a partner that loves you for who you are, where you emotionally click. Physical characteristics aren’t fixed but personality is. I’ve always been told that I need to be with someone that’s taller or the same height as me but it baffled as to why, why the hell does that matter? If you are financially stable, confident, non judgmental, kind and loving then you (boy and girl) will be found attractive. Yes of course there are physical characteristics that we want but height isn’t something you can control.
@merr5593
@merr5593 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Michelle, Thats very good of you to not care about height. Women want tall guys because It makes them feel all small and submissive, Its a sexual dynamic they look for in a man. Society has always linked a mans “manliness” in his physical strength so a short man comes of as weak to women and they don’t feel sexually attracted to them. Thats ofcourse the societies perception on short men which affects women dating standard. It should really matter because submission has nothing to with physical strength but with ones will to give away control. The guys who reject you, most of them are insecure about their own height so they don’t want to seen with a partner taller than them. The women who reject guys for their height are also shallow and really high quality women a guy should be with. Lastly, I would like to say that in no way I am disregarding your experiences but I believe the life is much more easier as a 6’ women(8+ in over avg) than a 5’5 man(-4 in)…

Maybe you are not from the US but the situation there is very different. 3/4 women will reject you If you below average in height. If you are short(I am 5’7)Its best to work on yourself to attract the quality women who will be attracted to you for who are.

(5'6 chiming in) I can't blame women for not wanting to date guys that are shorter than them, it's too ingrained in their biology and our society, and frankly most guys wouldn't date a girl that's taller than them either. I get it. Like Nikki said, it's the ones who make "if you're under 6' swipe left" one of, if not *the only thing* they mention in their dating app bio that are just hopelessly shallow and useless, and I'm more than happy to oblige. I just hope tall guys do the same because AFAIC these girls are saying they have no real interests or personality

30:38 Bullshit! Women want a tall guy because their sub-conscience thinks a taller guy is better hung. I know this from personal experience. A girl I knew had an attraction to me but had a preference to tall guys (over 6'2"), then we hooked up and she said "I didn't think you'd be so big, that's why we didn't do this sooner", I'm 5'10 and I always feel short, thank god I'm well endowed.

@ 41:04 I stopped drinking when I stopped smoking. And, I could only stop smoking after I learned about how much fluoride is secretly put into cigarettes. Its a nefarious thing that the cigarette industry does. They are able to put massive amounts of fluoride in them without labeling it by submitting the tobacco to hundreds of wetting and drying cycles, depositing everything that's in the municipal water supply, many times over, into the cigarette. 500x the fluoride of water turns the cigarette into a antipsychotic drug akin to Prozac, which explains why the addiction is so much more powerful than just a physiological addiction that goes away after a few days of cessation, such as nicotine or caffeine. When I quit smoking, I had dreams of smoking for 10 years! I still have smoking dreams! I wasn't able to quit smoking until I discovered the reason behind why its so addictive.

I appreciate the topic as a 5'5 who is 45 years old successful guy besides the constant rejection by thousands of women for the past 30 years specifically for my height. I appreciate the acknowledgment of this discrmintion and it is a form of discrimination being that the majority of women I ask politely why they don't consider short men and get no less than superficial replies such as she likes to wear her high heels too much or just plainly shrug their shoulders with a dumb look on their face not knowing why but just won't. I'm glad it was addressed but honestly, for a 45-minute video, I wish there was more than a little more than 15 minutes of discussion on it being that it is a big topic especially if you do some research and history of it such as why sperm banks reject short men or how height discrimination against short men was considered sexism back in 1972 then changed to heightism where it was watered down.

People cannot help what they are attracted to. If you have twins and one is 5’11”3/4 and one is 6, and she rejects the shorter one because he’s not 6’, that is shallow. Women like masculine features and height is one. Sperm banks cannot help tall men’s sperm is in demand. They aren’t going to pay you for sperm they cannot sell. Height has many benefits and is major indicator of success.

@@tuck1726 Isn't something though that woman will complain about being objectified as sex objects when they go out and wear skimpy clothes to get attention and are looked at as victims... while studies show from Psychology Today that 97% of American women will reject short men for no logical reason but superficial. Women objectify men as not being adequate, insufficient, and none masculine because he is short and do not even know anything else about them besides their outward appearance (height). It's all good to have a preference but why is society so hard on men if they are short like if they are not good enough to provide for a family. After all most women will only go for a short man only after she has 3-5 kids from other men and gained a significant amount of weight, then she will settle for a short guy if he has the resources to pay for her kids. You can put that to the test too, ask any single mom how tall her kids dads are, and more than likely they are 6 foot and she will say she used to reject short guys but now she has matured after she had her kids and claim height don't matter anymore.

I've got a set (3 pieces) of Rimowa luggage (silver aluminum set). I've gotten laid because of them. One time I was at the airport and saw a very cute girl. She commented on my carry-on "Nice luggage"... I said "Thanks... where are you headed to?" Since we were on the same flight to Vegas, I asked her if she'd like to join me in the Centurion Lounge (American Express' airport lounges)... she joined me. We hooked up a couple of days later in Vegas

Only reason I would prefer a girl whose on the taller side is to increase my chances of having taller kids (I know there's other factors that determine height) I don't know what other countries are like but America definitely has favoritism towards taller/attractive individuals and I'm on the taller side

I can relate to the guy Nikki dated who couldn't handle her being a Vegan. I try to limit myself when it comes to meat (no more than once a day) and thought I was open minded but when I dated a vegan, I suddendly realised how many animal products were around us, be it for food, clothing etc. I tried compromise and hide (well not shove it in her face) my omnivorous habits which made it awkward for me. I have to point out that veganism has a huge impact on a vegan's life and "flexibility" .
