I have been positive for 31 years and have been through all the different medications. They have gotten much better over the years as far as side effects go. But over time they caused me to have kidney failure. After 10 years on dialysis, I received a transplant about 3 years ago. So HIV can equal a shorter lifespan in some cases.

Those who are taking highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) medication are effectively cured so long as they continue taking the medication. I wish I could say the same for my allergies to tree and weed pollen. 🤧

@@marcK599. it prevents transmission and infection and it’s off patent so it’s significantly cheaper. The side effects are minimal when compared to death. For comparison, my seasonal allergies have had me sneezing all weekend and I’ve taken everything available and nothing works. I was barely able to function on Saturday and spent the entire day in bed. My nose wouldn’t quit running and my eyes were red and kept watering. How about somebody focuses on curing my allergies to all these plants’ pollen. I cannot escape the air that I need to breath. I stayed indoors and it didn’t matter. It’s awful! Now, talk to me about side effects. 😆 My liver is going to stop working any minute now from all this pseudoephedrine, chlorpheniramine, and chromolyn sodium I’ve been snorting. Not to mention, the inflammation from my immune system constantly being activated is probably going to give me a heart attack at 50. “Cure” is a relative concept. It isn’t black and white.

What a great talk but I just couldn’t relate to this guy. As a nihilist, I just don’t get the appeal of life and why people claim they love it some much.. Most of life is paying bills, dealing with health ailments, enduring emotional turmoil and then we just do it all over again by having children… I just don’t get it lol… that doesn’t sound like something worth loving.. Non-existence (like before I was born) was blissful because not existing, means no pain, no bills, no nothing… I think nihilist ways of thinking are mostly driven by our capitalistic way of living though, and leaves people feeling depleted and dim…

Brilliant interview, excellent information. 🏆 P.S. Please keep us updated about Addimmune, very anxious to hear some progress in a Phase Two trial, kinda concerned we're not hearing what's going on with that... it should be moving on fast path toward results. 🧐
