Despite being Warhorse Studios' first-ever game, Kingdom Come Deliverance is still amazing and very good even today in 2023. It utilizes its heavy approach of realism to transform the game into one of the best modern RPGs I have ever played, the medieval 13th-century bohemia, characters, and combat, I love it all, and in the end makes for an experience that you, also need to play. It does begin slow, but the satisfaction of looking back
at your progress is something you'll find hard to experience anywhere else.
This is my Review for Kingdom: Come Deliverance (KCD)(KC).
Subscribe and like, if you did enjoy as it goes a very long way but anyways, Thank you for watching!

I strangely didn't mind KCD's beginning. It really set into stone of the fact that I am just a peasant in this big medieval world and that I need to train and work towards actually becoming something. It makes that feeling of becoming powerful in the mid to late game really rewarding. The game gives tons of freedom too once you're past the prologue and you could spend a bunch of time and do a bunch of side quests to level up if you want or continue the main story. Hardcore is great too and makes the game much more immersive and forced me to learn the map which I like.

actually the way i discovered this gem of a game was funny, it was in my highschool intro to medicine class and the teacher was talking about some medicine during medieval times and he mentioned how kingdom come deliverance had realistic combat/injuries, to think if i never chose that class i would have probably never found this game

First time playing KCD was absolutely amazing. Even first hours we're great even if a little boring, because I knew I wasn't anyone special but I knew sooner or later I would become someone great. Getting my hands on first proper knight armor felt amazing and the customization of layers of armor also helped with that and getting better with sword fighting also felt amazing. I love this game with my whole heart and still even if I played it around year ago I still remember a lot of things from it like characters or locations.

Great video, it deserves more attention than it gets. I liked witcher 3, but I couldn't replay it, it is a very good game. I might be under the influence of playing KCD before witcher, but I think the immersion and realism this game offers are better than the fantasy world. And a bonus point, you can travel to places from kcd irl. I just love this game soo much.

I remember playing this many years ago and the first 2 hours were so ass I quit lol glad I came back to it recently because now I’m 12 hours in and it’s just finally blowing up. Crazy fun but there are so many “immersion” features that is just made to be time consuming, like there is no need for so many animations for certain tasks (looking at you alchemy). Plus Henry is such a Chad, he is easily one of my favorite protagonists. Up there with Geralt and Leon Kennedy.

Does Kingdom Come: Deliverance still hold up today? Oh yes, definitely. If you compare it with Starfield, KCD is better in every possible aspect: better world, better main story, better side quests, better important characters, better random NPCs, and yes it even looks better! 5 years later.

And your point on being Overpowered at the beginning of a game are right Back then, i really enjoyed the feeling of being far stronger than your enemy in a game But now, i'm kinda bored of that After i played soul series game, i realized that being weak can be fun, although the character are gifted from the beginning of the game 🤣

this and witcher 3 are the only rpg's I realistically ever need. witcher 3 is a better game, no doubt, but it was made by a veteran studio who had perfected their formula, and KC:D was a crowd funded indie game by a relatively small studio making their first game. I can't wait for the sequel though, and I hope they lean in to more of the life simulator stuff, because that's what sets it apart from Witcher 3. Also, the combat needs work. I LOVED the combat when I first tried it, and really appreciate the effort they put in to try something new that felt and looked a lot more realistic, but after hundreds of hours its obvious that it needs more work.

As much as I like the Witcher 3, this game is much better and is what a true rpg should be like. I wish the saving system was a little better because it would save you time finding beds when you ran out of schnapps.

The saving system was literally my only complaint. When I first played the game at launch, I eventually got to a major seige like quest, and I was pretty much soft locked by the game into a scenario where I couldn't beat the quest because I didn't have enough armor with me at the time. I couldn't revert the save and come back more prepared, so it just left me with a frustrating time. I still love the game but yeah, that saving system was rough Maybe this was also a skill issue thing, idk. I just remember being very unprepared and wishing I had an opportunity to exit the battle and come back to it but my save was locked there

@@irecordwithaphone1856 no I agree, I’m all for games for being challenging but when you can’t pause a hard game like dark souls or save a game on the fly like kcd, it makes the game 10x more frustrating and it’s unneeded.

I think RDR 2, God of War and Monster Hunter World such huge games from long time game developers really took a lot of the spotlight away from Kingdom Come Deliverance. I don't even think Kingdom come had any budget for marketing. And the few streamers or KZbinrs who checked out the game didn't really gave the game a great first impression. Since the game has a slow start and is relatively boring compared to what the other games available were showing. The strict save mechanic, while great for game difficulty, does not translate well when the game is buggy at release and has quite a few game breaking bugs and crashes. Players losing potentially hours of gameplay because their quest bugged out and their last save before that point was far away. With the short attention span of the gaming community nowadays, most people wouldn't bother investing the time and effort into this buggy game that have you playing as a peasant that can't even defend himself against bandits. And out of the few that even heard of this game, even fewer played long enough to reach the point of the game where you notice the growth in Henry.

I played the closed beta and the game was utter trash. The initial lockpicking and alchemy systems were awful, the combat whilst similar to the current system was clunky and the timing was awful. I came back to KCD recently after buying the Royal Edition for like £7 and my GOD! What an improvement! I think KCD has overtaken TES Oblivion as my favourite game of all time. I love the progression, the way your choices actually affect quest outcomes. I get nervous about certain objectives, if I saved a while back with no bed nearby the stakes of choices you have to make actually matter. As for the first few hours, if you find it dull then you're just an A typical millennial with zero patience. If you need progression to make you feel your time is worthwhile then you should probably go and play Skyrim, the RPG for dummies. KCD is a masterpiece and I will parry - slash- slash anyone who says otherwise.
