Hey, Zack! So, if the new dimensions "scare off" free agent hitters, they're just not ready for the bigs in the first place. Legit power hitters can reach 384' in their sleep! Austin Hays took one to the second-deck in left the other night, in the rain, and he's nowhere near a bonafide power hitter. Anything new in life, takes an adjustment period to get used to. I'm sure, the first couple times you went to stadiums you weren't familiar with, it took some time to adjust. I love the wall and new dimensions, it's long overdue. It validates the true power guys, and gives hitters with less power something to strive for. The original dimensions were a joke Zack, and you know it. Routine fly balls to left, would float over the wall if there was a slight breeze. A hard line-drive that would be a long single anywhere else in the league, would get over the wall. The weather definitely played a part early on, too. It felt like cold weather hung around extra long this year. The new wall/outfield dimensions isn't the problem in Baltimore. The lack of respect for the fans', by turning a once proud organization into a complete laughing stock, is the problem. This current organization doesn't have a clue, that's why the stadium is empty night-after-night/year-after-year. Unfortunately, I don't see things changing for the better anytime soon!
@NashHenryASMR2 жыл бұрын
Completely agree Zack! I was watching an Orioles game a couple of weeks ago, and thought, "hey, that left field wall doesn't look like it used to be." I then looked more into it, and I still don't like the basis of the idea for it. Nice video again by the way!

Zack, I think now is a good time to vent my frustrations. As a kid I relished the opportunity to go to Forbes Field in Pittsburgh ( yes I am that old" for batting practice. I now live in Maryland and frequent Camden Yards. The frustration is, they don't let you in the ballpark for batting practice. I believe that teams that have that policy can improve attendance by letting the fans in earlier for bp. If you have any influence, and you most certainly do by your KZbin subscribers, petition the teams to open up for bp. I would be the first to sign such a petition. Keep the content coming. I don’t understand why stadium layouts especially the perimeter of the playing field is being changed at some of these stadiums, just leave well enough alone. MLB needs to stop changing the game and there was absolutely nothing wrong with how the game has been played and there’s nothing wrong with the stadiums the way they were built originally especially in regards to Camden Yards. MLB leave these iconic stadiums alone and stop changing things that don’t need to be changed.

@dylancha30302 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t that in turn scare away right handed hitters
@NoelG7022 жыл бұрын
@@dylancha3030 The Orioles have never had a problem with developing their own hitters. Even when the wall was closer they didn't really sign any major right handed hitters except Albert Belle back in the late 90's and maybe Nelson Cruz in the early 2010's. That's about it. The problem has been starting pitching. They can't draft or develop SP for shit so they need to rely on free agents. Most did not want to come here because of left field.
