I am a 4th Generation Filipino/American! My great grandparents came to California in 1895. Yes 1895. We do not speak Filipino (Tagalog or Other Dialects) My grandkids have shown great interest in their racial heritage and are active in their culture. The Filipinos of the Large Cities (PI) leave much, much to be desired. The people of the Providence seem to have better values and morals. (Fernando Marcus is an exception!) I married a Filipina, the process to bring her to my country (Germany) was taking longer as the marriage. Nothing left from the sweetness which I was used to get when she was still on the Philippines. At the moment she landed in Germany her Attitude towards me changed instantly. She said "i love you and want to be with you" Well, when she arrive here after couple weeks she started miss her family and cried almost daily. So I organized her a job, she earned good and sended lot of money to her family, no matter how much, was never enough.. with the money her character was changing very fast, she made at the beginning of her job almost 80k Pesos/per month, still never was happy...

I think the secret is to move to their country with a lot / average money and you'll be okay, take them away from their traditional country and traditional vaulues and you will get fucked.
