And so is Bakari 😮 neither party is good for us, if yall don't see that at this point then try seeking out new sources of information. There are plenty of educated Black folks that are not Stephen A Smith or Bakari Sellers. Follow and read Dr. CBS, Bree Newsome, Orisanmi Burton, Black Power Media, Jacquie Luqmon...some attention needs to go there instead of people that keep leading us back to the dead end Democrats. Roland Martin said to get Joe Biden in and hold him accountable. Well Jim Crow Gencide Joe is showing that he is not going to listen. Roland blew off suggestion of Anti Black crime bill but I wonder what he says to all these new a.s. bills. Black folks got Warnoff and Ossoff in and all we got were excuses about Manchin and Sinema. They play in our face and will keep moving the goal post but show how quickly they can get things done that don't benefit you, or will likely harm Black people. Anyway just my 2 cents...everyone be blessed and stay safe. Things will continue to get bad.❤

S. Smith pointed out the fact that Democrats and Biden suck donkey balls, he doesn't need "the man" to tell him that when it's obvious. Also everyone knows media companies like ESPN are Democrat leaning so to say Smith's bosses want him to speak for Trump and against Democrats is just silly. But you're right Smith needs to take a stand by sticking to his well founded critiques of Biden and Democrats instead of cowering to the fascist liberal mob.

Side Bar: Bakari Sellers in making a point about an issue listed teachers among blue collar professions. We need to separate teachers from blue-collar jobs when we speak of them .No hate for blue-collar folksince I am one, But we need to elevate the profession in the hearts and minds of members of our community, every community and one way to do that is with our language. We need to recognize their training commitment and sacrifice. We intrust our most precious assets to them. Yet speak of them as if they're the same as someone who unclogs my toilet or fixes my brakes. Once again no blue collar hate, I am blue collar. One way To uplift the value of Seeking knowledge Is to uplift those that teach us to do it.

I don't mind it necessarily being the Breakfast Club because of the demographic that they serve and the wide reach they have with their platform. These are voting age people, who for the most part actually need to be engaged. Many of them aren't watching MSM or any substantive political commentary. However, if they are, maybe not consistently and they need to be informed and prepared to vote for their present and future. The issue I definitely have is that Charlemagne and Envy really should NOT conduct interviews of this magnitude. They don't have the bandwidth or knowledge by any stretch of the imagination and this causes confusion and misinformation. Instead, they could easily hire someone who can handle the task and elevate the conversation to educate, empower and strategize. It is not only what is in your hands - but how do you use it to enhance and elevate the energy and power you possess for the greater good. Refrain from using the opportunity for temporary controversy and/or click bait - we have zero time for that!

Yes a mark is being missed. There needs to be larger conversations in the Black communities focused around civic engagement and how your participation gives you a voice in the allocation of your tax dollars (economics) and how your voice can impact laws that will affect your life (liberty). These conversations need to be more reflective of the independent and collective benefit. We need to have conversations about hope and what it can look like and how we’re going to get there. We’re hyper aware of the threats and have managed in spite of so that no longer motivates. Folk need to know they can thrive and not just survive and that can come by way of civic engagement which goes beyond voting.

I honestly feel the intelligent minds would benefit the common folk more by displaying more unity and save the personal issues for behind closed doors and off social media. Right now our people need unification and it seems all of the brilliant minds of our time and on social media stay at odds with each other. This in turn divides the followers and distorts the messaging therefore dividing and weakening our power to move as a massive of powerful people from the Global Majority. I know everyone has their on opinion and perspective but we need to see the unity, we are getting ready to face dark times that we have never seen in our lifetimes and we ain’t ready! My Opinion!!!

I am pretty confident that Steve a Smith states things with Full Knowledge. Pretty sure he just doesn't care about the fallout since those he are supporting, Run this Country. When powerful folks like Lebron James and Kyrie Irving have to walk back any comments that are remotely not in step with those that Run this Country, then you know just how powerful they are. So it's one thing to say sure, get out the right messaging, but we better be DARN Sure we are there en masse to support them. Otherwise most will just Walk Back what they stated.

Bakari clearly sees the danger his 'friend' CTG, SAS and Candace poses to our culture. I view The Breakfast Club as primarily entertainment for the pop culture. If you seriously want intellectual conversation go elsewhere. CTG has consistently encouraged people to hold their vote, stay home on election day and Bakari thinks his 'friend' is just coming from a place of "inquiring" minds want to know? Ok, read about the history of the civil rights movement, read a newspaper or a book. Oh, books are being banned!

You are absolutely right Professor Karen Hunter. Politics is always about how you know the system in which you are in. 8:14 We have to do way better. I had a new client yesterday, reply in my 9 assessment questions, about has she ever used a fitness professional, "I learned about fitness in college so no." She is in her 50's and very successful economically but she also is over weight and had critical surgeries. It's sad because This is a perfect example of our society stuck on "Mount Stupid" 13:11 and they handicap themselves.

Lots of pushback about Sellers' comments re CTG, but he isn't wrong though; Stephen A Smith and Charlemagne aren't in the same category. They may both be wrong about many things, including some of the same things, but they (the men) do not move the same. Whether or not the impact is the same... I'm not sure. As goofy as Charlemagne comes off at times, I have never seen him go onto a right-wing platform and go to bat for Donald Trump or any other Republican/conservative politician. Stephen A Smith was truly a "useful idiot" in that Hannity interview.

Interesting conversation, I would like to also point out that, there maybe day to day issues, but those will not matter if you cannot vote as a minority. Look at how many states have taken away the rights of women regarding their bodies and health. How is that not a day to day matter. It does not mean that you discount those issues that the youth have, but they all are relevant and equally need to be protected.

He's very slick and duplicitous in his rhetoric and who he talks to. As well who he talks about. So he should also take a look in the mirror or a refresher on that March Tuesday night he got real pompas with his attacks on Turner and check his Black Intellectualism ego at the door.
