A couple of things I know about CA glue. Back when I worked, I did an air quality permit for an MDF plant and CA glue was the adhesive, and I got a good overview of the entire operation. They buy CA in 55 gal drums, (then about $200/drum), mix it with powder fine sawdust and blow it through ducts to a vacuum press. Zap it with steam and bang.... cured. CA glue hardens because of moisture. The plant I worked for was in New Mexico and at altitude for a reason. Cold air is dry by definition, and high altitude is low pressure air is dry. (The plant was at 5 or 6,000 feet.) If you have ever camped in the desert, it gets cold at night. My point being control your environment and you control the set time for CA. So if you want to do more CA bows, get an air conditioner in your shop or do them in Winter. (Cold air is dry air.) Always use kiln dried wood...... (BTW, war story for this mill..... A thunderstorm came through one afternoon and they had a 50 ft. of 4 ft. duct work solidify with the press charge....... Bang-solid)

About 3 minutes in and I'm reminded of Adam Savage and how he talks about CA glue. My suggestion would've been to use a thick CA glue so it wouldn't dry too fast and it wouldn't soak right into the wood.

Hey Kramer, I love your content especially the ones using oak wood because then I can attempt to do it as well. I love the fiberglass backing I think I will pick some up off of your website so I can try it on my next bow build. I also have a request/suggestion on what you should make next. I think it would be cool if you could use the fiberglass and a oak board and make a reflex deflex with limb tips. I think this would be great because viewers like me can have a new change to try and make your bows with supplies that are easy to get your hands on. Also if you get board sometime I made a bow and DM you on Instagram pictures of it. It was replica of your 15 dollar bow build with the fiberglass drywall tape backing. Thank for all the great content!

You can get CA with additives that will both slow drying time AND leave it flexible when it's cured. The thicker gel CA has rubber in the mix, it will do nothing but help.

Leave more then you want is a great tip, as making a bow too light then one needs to add more layers of fiberglass to build up the bow or use some kind of wood as an extra layer for the bow.

Hello Kramer, i've been watching your videos for many moths now and I can't stop to notice that very often the audio levels in your videos seem to be a bit off for me. I have the impression that the levels of the music are louder than your voice tracks - Maybe I'm the only one who has that feeling, I don't know. It leaves me with constantly fiddling the volume of my computer when I watch (& enjoy) your videos. Keep up the good work, you have a very nice presentation style :-) Don't overcomplicate the editing ;-)

90% of everybody is using smooth on EA -40 epoxy. The stuff is amazing . With strength and flexibility. But works even better if you build a heat box for better curing . Ill take 6 hrs at 180* over 24 hrs then another 5 in the box at 145/150*. Ive never had one come unglued .

Every time I see your tillering tree up against a wall, I keep thinking how much it would help (me, at any rate) to see if the limbs are bending evenly to have a backing (say, 6 x 3 feet, paper, poster board, whatever) with evenly spaced lines. If you do lines in colors, say five colors, black, red, blue, orange, and green (easily obtainable Sharpie marker colors), you could then see almost instantly if the limbs are coming down to the same line on both sides. Or, is there something I'm missing here? Are both limbs going to come down to the same line even if one side is stiffer and still needs wood removed to make it bend evenly?

If you have access to a actual wooden part of the belly you should be able to lighten it up . Just follow Kramer's tillering video. Fiberglass store bought and its a different ball game . You still can . But on those I believe you tiller by thinking the with not the thickness. Ive been doing it for only a year now . Amd made 12 now thanks to him . Only had two explode . Did his deflex-reflex recurve and ended up with a deflex-reflex-corkscrew recurve . Will still shoot straight but looks like a cyclops made it brahahaha . Im better now. Lol

Ok bro. Look, to do a good comparison both must have good arrow flight. Neither did as far as I could tell. You need to try this build by the way you shoot. This means build the riser around your center of your string. At the center of your string should be your pull point. Usually between your index and middle finger. Then your arrow above your index finger with a nock point. This should put your grip slightly higher than normal with a shelf, slightly higher also. The reason for this build is to maintain a equal draw across both limbs. If you are not drawing from the center of a equal tillered limb bow, you will have a unequal force on each limb, giving poor flight. I hope this helps
