I noticed recently that the Wera ball head hex wrenches feel quite slack at the ball head end. The ball measures the right dimensions but on the small sizes like 2.5mm the contact area is so small it's easy to damage the screw you're adjusting.

Mine came very close on being perfect. The laser on mine was out by a very slight amount but no big deal. Having used dewalt saws for ever I find the kapex and very rewarding saw. Giving very clean cuts especially with a zero clearance insert and fence. I’m very happy with it. For mobile I have since bought the cordless ks60 and again out of the box very good. Can’t see me moving from festool now. I enjoyed your video and hope you are liking the ks120😊

Thanks - interesting to hear your experience. I'm definitely enjoying mine and will do a full review when I've got a bit more experience with it.

First thing I will say sorry I haven’t responded. It seems KZbin don’t advise you of much anymore. Having used my machine for various projects now I’m 100% happy and comfortable with it in every way. There have been times I have missed the depth of cut of the dewalt saw but no big deal. I’m more than happy with accuracy of the kapex and can’t see a reason to change. I have since bought the festool ksc60 for mobile work and although it’s a great cordless saw prefer the ks120 any day. Hopefully you are finding the same yourself

If you need to adjust the laser screws get a hex without a sleeve on it, the sleeve on (looks like you used a Wera) will at times stop you from fully inserting the hex.

Nice thanks. It's certainly possible that I stripped the head unknowingly. I used a Hex Plus which I thought would be safer but felt a lot of wiggle straight away. If I need to do it again I will try a different one. Thanks.

My new Kapex also has the lasers out of alignment.

I have the dewalt dws780 mitre saw. I was thinking of getting a festool kapex but not too sure now. Rather than have a laser the dewalt projects a shadow line over the cut instead so it's more precise than a laser. Also it's a 305mm blade. I'm not sure what size.cuts the kapex can do any ideas? I'd be sold on the kapex if it can cut as deep as the dewalt

It has a special feature where you can lock the saw and get a tall moulding or skirting up behind the centre of the blade to get more height. Not used that feature yet and not familiar with the DeWalt so don't know how they compare. Info from the Festool site: Trimming skirting boards and cornices up to 120 mm in height - no calculations Cutting boards and panels up to 305 x 88 mm Trimming crown mouldings up to 168 mm in their original wall position Trimming square timber and beams up to 88 mm thick

@beyondutility ahhh I've had oak beams and telegraph poles on the dewalt. I don't think they would fit behind the kapex :(
