Kool video. We all knew what the answer was before watching, but gotta watch Gixxer brah use the FULL potential of this bike. R7 may handle great and have low end power, however that twin does not have the top end of the dirty 6 lol. 600cc super sport 4 cyl bikes wake up quick about halfway through the rpm range and pull hard. Nevertheless hold it down in the dfdubb always enjoying your content.

The Yammy's are usually neutered, I'd get a tune up to squeeze the true potential out of it. Did that to my 2019 R3 and it runs canyons like a boss!

The R7 IMO is in a class of its own because its like it has its own set of qualities that the 600cc's don't have. Even at the Tale of the Dragon I had more fun riding on the R7 than on my M1000RR. The 600-1000cc in line was awesome and fun don't get me wrong but you have to ring their necks which makes the ride way more exhausting on your body. I could ride my buddies R7 up and down the Dragon 3 times as long as my bike and I didn't have to ride it to it limit to have fun!

this was never meant to be a 600 killer. it's low horsepower (70 HP) is an attractive option for people who are getting ready to upgrade from a 300cc with 30 HP. going from 30 HP to 130 HP is too big of a horsepower change for me. i prefer to gradually increase horsepower as my skill grows. 30 HP to 70 HP. and then 70 HP to 130 HP is much more reasonable than 30 HP to 130 HP

Someone at bike night said thier R7 would stomp my GSXR 750... Ok. Funny he wasn't on I75 with us on the rip home. That R7 is a beautiful bike indeed. But no, it isn't an inline 4. The 636 keeps up with me, but I can just nose ahead a little. That may just be my catless tuned 750 vs a fairly stock 636.

Do you think that the R7 would be a good starter bike? I’m considering basically getting this or an R3. I’m leaning towards getting the R7 because I can learn on it and then I can grow into it more instead of having to buy a bigger bike from the R3. Hmmm idk maybe. If you’ve written dirt bikes at any point in your life for a consistent amount of time I would say yeah it’s really close to easily a starter bike capability it’s just a bike will do a backflip still

in my exp coming from an R3 and having now an R7 if you are a tall rider it is good to start to r7 unless you are a short rider..i'm not saying that r7 is not good for a short rider but if you are a newbie the torque and the ergo is quite intimidating compare to r3..but if you are not a total newbie even you are short I would say r7 is better option..

I've had an R7 now for about a month and put about 600 mi on it and this is my second bike coming off of a cbr500r having zero previous riding experience I can say without a doubt that if I would have started on the R7 I probably would have had a lot more trouble. When I first started I dropped the 500 three times in the driveway just minor scuffs but I would have cried if it was the R7. Also the ergonomics are extremely aggressive so much so that the first week I owned the bike it was like learning how to ride a motorcycle all over again. If you're going to start on an R7 my only advice is to just be careful and take it easy and don't rush yourself or else this bike will get you into big trouble real quick.
