I found this video very helpful because it gave three options for reducing plosives. I'm considering which microphone to buy and with which accessories. I'd already decided on the Rode Podcaster, and after watching the video I'll buy it with a windshield and position it off axis. Thank you, Jordan.

Quick and thorough. Thanks. I can't believe others have to make a 15min video about this.

I wish Rode would just admit that the internal pop filter for the PodMic isn't exactly great. It's minimal at best. And what's tough is that this is one of their most aesthetically pleasing looking mics in their lineup. It's a shame that a $15-$20 windscreen is what is needed to make this mic shine. It makes it look like a weird dark-colored puffy Q-Tip or swab. The flip side is that cheap windscreen deals with the plosives drastically and I can EQ this thing to sound close to my SM7B (at 1/3 the cost!). Thanks for this video!

It would be great if they made an upgraded Rode Podmic with a better internal pop filter

Great video, I was about to buy a Pop filter and waste money since I'm using the mic for a video setting, definitely helpful with the explanation as well.

I want to get the rode podmic however I don't really want to buy the Yamaha MG10Xau because I feel that having 10 inputs to be a litte much for what I would be using it for, is there any other options that are a little smaller but can still have some control of the highs and lows and also being a usb mixer?
