I did write a comment earlier, which I deleted because I remembered wrong. I did have an indoor grill that did flame up on me, could have been bad, but it was a different design. I also had the Power XL, which is just like this one. No problems. Now, I use the Ninja Grill/Griddle, which also Air Fries. 100%, I love the Ninja. I don't notice any smoke. I like the Griddle and Air Fryer features, best air fryer that I've ever had.

Yes, I have power Xl also and the ninja Xl foodi, which is amazing. But you got to get the Ninja outdoor woodfire grill/smoker it's a game changer if you don't have it already
