Ive been on my own for yrs. Ive put in numerous flower beds at 2 different homes . I put in 6 flower beds around my new home in the last 5 yrs. I find working in my beds and planting new flowers ,doing many big flower pots all sround my home is great therapy for my soul. Im 70. I get my excersise also . I luv taking pictures of all my flowers. Ive met many neighbors who have commented on how lovely my flowers are.❤

I have always enjoyed gardening. Especially in 2024, now. Many years ago someone told me getting your hands in dirt is like spending time with God. So true and have never forgotten that. About 50 years ago.

I'm retired and single with two dogs and a cat. My family is here in town but I still get lonely in the winter and depressed. Spring and summer fill the void nicely with gardening and SUN.

I’ve decided to fill the gardening void during the cold months with another hobby. I purchased a sewing machine at the beginning of COVID and have recently pulled it out of the box. I’m picking that hobby back up, starting small with aprons and cheerful fabrics❤
@anandhicooray55124 сағат бұрын
I've bought a sewing machine too, but still unused😢. I used to love sewing and did, on my grandmother's old singer machine. I'll make time to start again ❤❤❤

Funny Linda how your subject was about loneliness. That has certainly been me since Dec. I spend just enough time outside to fill the bird feeders & keep a close check on the garden beds. It’s just been too cold to go out, other than running errands…not fun! Winter is definitely a time to try to find something to keep one busy indoors but I have a hard time finding incentive. (last year already did a lot of organizing & donating.) 😊

To me, the wreaths could be left up and lit for awhile. Just remove the red bows , which scream Christmas . But greens, pine cones and lights are very much winter themed. Stewart... the snow garden by drone was amazing! What a great job. I have always draped my scarves over the shoulders and around. I like to pull the center down , so its not choking me. Dis you have company I noticed Stewart was filming you at the end, Jaime came out on the porch... but someone was in the bathroom window?

Hi Linda, I'm 80, and yes my garden is my sanctuary, and eases my loneliness, to some extent. At this age you start losing old friends my sister, and recently my beloved little yorkshire terrier. This year our rains were late north of Jhb in South Africa and my garden suffered badly so very difficult to keep plants alive as only rain water makes them grow. So we have had rain since xmas, but for some reason the trees are starting to loose there leaves at least 2/3 months early. Best wishes to you.

With families spread out and so many young couples choosing not to have children or only one child I can see why older people are lonely. I imagine this will increase. The greatest gift your parents gave you are your 9 siblings!🙂
@RaymondWilliams-od6ib3 сағат бұрын
I'm from a very large family and I know what you are saying. And I have no children myself. I do know that I can rely on my siblings because I am the oldest. And my youngest siblings will have to deal with most of us dying before they do. But both my parents have died and except for my siblings I would only have cousins.

Hi Linda as usual you look great. I am so impressed with your knitted scarf. You did not say where you got the sweater, but love it so much. I love hats , but have a big head😂😂😂so sometimes knitted toboggans will pop off. I love all of yours. Yes,I am ready for flowers and sun and longer walks. I am trying to embrace winter. My husband has a green thumb so we have big beautiful plants we have had forever and of course, smaller plants sprinkled around too. It has snowed, iced and is freezing. It is hard to get out because everything is icy. A lot of my younger friends have fell. Luckily, I have not. Anyhow, Spring will come and we will have flowering trees and tulips and everyone will be happier. I hope you and Stewart do more thrifting. Remember you got the lady jacket too. I saw nothing wrong with your choice of tee shirts.😊 ❤❤❤❤

I was checking new boxwoods I planted this past fall and saw a little bronzing on them after the snow and ice we had here in Atlanta. Was glad to hear the tip on fertilizing them when it warms. Thanks for that! Enjoyed the thrifting - you give great ideas for the use of items. Stay warm! ❤️

I am watching from South Africa Whe have winter rain and summer rain arias. I am in a summer rain part. We have Dessert,Bushfields and tropicals arias . Also snow in some parts .In my aria i can plant all the same plants you do . I do get frost in winter .Temp can drop below below -2 degrees. But Eugenias do have to be protected they survive. Purtulaca Africa sometime get blackfrost but wil not die down . I do have them in my garden . But it is not their normal habitat. They are from easter cape . Love your content thanks.

First year going to a class…learning to make my own wreath (Dec 4). Lots of fun. Yes, I did soak it before hanging it. Mostly viable. Eucalyptus leaves dry but that’s okay, when I do take the wreath down…I’ll crush those for an indoor fragrance…

What cracks me up is you're walking around wearing all that heavy clothing and it's in the '40s. Over here in Michigan it would be like a heat wave. We don't put on coats until it gets to be about 25° lol. We're enjoying about 15 in of snow right now.
@staciejackson74974 сағат бұрын
Huh. I was raised in WI, now in NC, and wear a winter coat when it’s 40 degrees. Not usually a hat and scarf, it depends if it’s windy. I obviously don’t speak for Linda, (who is wearing a sweater, not a coat), but she loves the fashion aspect also. We all do our own thing.😀 Enjoy the beautiful snow!❄️, jealous!

The trench coat was a good find. No disrespect to your sister but tea shirts with any design is out, dating. And my opinion not classy. I was the stylist at Nordstrom for 4 years. I love your videos. Don’t get butt hurt. It’s only my opinion. I’m talking care of my 84 year old mother. Your show and my garden is my best way to not get lonely. 😊 o would have gotten those rod-iron plant stands. Love you 🥰
