I’ll add some Examples for those that care. 1: Luffys enters Gear Second by Pumping his Blood faster, Fast Enough to make his Blood Boil. How do you make Blood Boil? through Friction. So I calculated the amount of Surface Area of the Circulatory System for an Average Human of Luffys Height. Then calculated the temperature it takes to make Blood Boil. Next I converted the Temperature into Joules, then divided the Joules by the total Surface Area. Leaving the Total energy input that is needed to be converted into Heat. Assuming you convert a Generous 80% of the energy input into heat. You would need to have he Blood moving at beyond 2000mph, aka Mach 3+

As a physicist, I have to say you are doing a pretty good job with your physics. Some notes though: The speed of light is about 300 million meters per second, not miles, which is about 1600 times faster; You don't have to put that much energy into an object to cause an explosion, if there is water in the object, like you would expect in a tree, then the water will boil instantly and expands, causing it to explode, while something without water, like a steel beam would not; The power of a laser is unrelated to its size, it simply increases the irradiance, so you can heat a tiny spot to a higher temperature than you could a large spot for a large laser beam with the same power; A 100 gram rock contains about enough energy to feed a person for 3 million years; For Ama no Murakumo no Tsurugi (a.k.a. Kusanagi for you Naruto fans), photons can carry momentum (y'know, the thing that makes baseballs hurt when they hit you in the face), and thus could in theory clash with a sword, assuming that Kizaru is using his powers to direct photons toward the enemy blade again after they bounce off. Bonus, Yata no Kagami pretty much proves that Kizaru isn't traveling at the speed of light, because, thanks to what we know from special relativity, an object traveling at the speed of light does not experience any passage of time, so he could not decide "Okay, now i'm over Apoo, better turn back now." Unless all of physics is fundamentally different, or he can predict and pre-program his path.

@@FezzUG E=mc^2 is the rest mass energy, or the energy an object has simply by having mass, as opposed to gravitational potential energy, which tells you how much kinetic energy you can get out of an object by letting it fall a certain distance. Gravitational potential energy is usually in the range of Joules to Mega Joules (millions of Joules) depending on the mass of the object, the strength of gravity, and how far it is falling, while rest mass energy is usually in the range of Peta Joules (quadrillions of Joules) or more for household sized items. For subatomic particles, gravity is usually negligible, while rest mass energy is usually given in Kilo Electron Volts (the amount of kinetic energy an electron would gain if accelerated by a 1000 Volt electric field for 1 meter). That might be where you remember the k from. Note that 1 Electron Volt is a tiny amount, less than a billionth of a billionth of a Joule. Also, while he could observation haki the path before launching to predict where the target might be when he arrives, if his haki is that good, then why can't he predict where an enemy is going to dodge before launching his other attacks? I could totally buy that his pointing for his lasers and not adjusting for them dodging is just stylistic flair to give weak opponents the illusion of having a chance of winning or getting away.

Hey Tekking, i have a video idea for you: You should make a video on the different parts of the soul described in the egyptian mythology and how they relate to different devil fruits. 1.)We all know that Morias Fruit deals with the Shadow. 2.) I actually believe that Kizaru can move at light speed, but only while he's transformed into light completely, so he can't interact with anything as if he were solid. When he kicked Apoo through that wall, he probably just zipped over there in light form, transformed back and then attacked. So instead of a light speed attack, Kizaru most likely just has really strong legs.

For the sword thing, I am vaguely aware of something called "photonic molecules" where they got up to three photons to "bond" together in a way similar to atoms in a molecule; They also appeared to have mass which, for the uninitiated, is not typical for photons, as in it doesn't happen. And they traveled at a snails pace compared to the speed of light. Hypothetically, if we were to find some way to bind a whole hell of a lot more photons together, we plausibly could grow crystals out of nothing but light. Photons always travel at the speed of light and always in a straight line if they had mass that'd mean they have infinite inertia (because it never changes direction nor speed) and thus infinite mass. That would give quite noticeable problems. The rest of this comment is not worth reading and arguably doen't really belong in a comment on a video about a stoner light-man but whatever. I know what you're thinking, light has energy so if we use E=m*c² that'd mean that light does have mass. But that formula is only valid on objects with zero speed, a more complete formula is: E²= (p*c)²+(m*c²)² ("p" being momentum "m" being mass and "c" being the speed of light.) If the speed of the object is zero this formula collapses down into the familiar E=mc² If however the mass of the object is zero the result is E=p*c ("h" being planks constant and "f" being the photons frequency) which we can equate to the energy for the photon E=p*c=h*f You might rightly point out that having momentum necessarily means that the photon has mass, and in classical physics, you'd be completely correct. Since momentum is mass times velocity (p=m*v). We are however dealing with fast moving objects, which means we get to play by the rules of special relativity where the formula for momentum is p=(m*v)/[1-(v²/c²)]^(-1/2) If we put in the values for light which is m=0 and v=c you get the wonderful result of 0/0 which is indeterminate and as such useless. The formula E=p*c is really only used as an intermediate step to get the momentum of photons in combination with the formula for the energy of a photon E=h*f which gets you p=(h*f)/c which is determined to work irl.

Well I think it's more along the lines of Kizaru can *"travel"* at the speed of light, because he turns into concentrated light and move through the Yata mirror move. However at the point of destination Kizaru turns back to normal and makes his strike and so due to speed, weight, etc. it's essentially a "Light Speed Attack". Plus, Tekking it's anime there's always a sense of disbelief to take account. Rayleigh explained normally you can't match the speed of light but through Observation Haki you can predict where Kizaru will come from.

Hi Tekking! I am following you for roughly six months and I really enjoy how you talk about One Piece and how you make reviews about the new chapters. After watching the seven warlords video, I start to think about Buggy and his devil fruit because I wanted to see precisely what Buggy can pull of with the Puzzle-Puzzle... and I come to some conclusions about his power: His power is very similar to rufy's regarding the concept and the basic applications, but can pull off some serious stuff that rufy can only dream about! Buggy has full control over the pieces he produces (full control over their size, shape, position in the space around himself, travel speed and ROTATION). Recently I start to read JOJO Steel Ball Run and I thinked about the Spin in relation to Johnny fingernails as the relation between Buggy body pieces and the possibility to make them spin at crazy fast speed... and I realised that a power of that type would be freaking strong! We already see how much power and raw force a Gum Gum Rifle can generate, buggy would be able to do the same with his fist (for example) but without the charging time and without a strict limit to the Spin Force he can charge on his fist. This fact can seriuosly be the base for a deadly fighting style centered around Spinning. Also we know another thing: when buggy makes something levitating with himself thanks to his fruit power, he doesn't fell the weight of that object at all! (he take on jinbei and rufy with ease). Buggy could simply levitate with a cannonball or something much bigger, then spin with the object and then launch it with incredibile force thanks to the momentum he created by spinning! (he doesn't need any type of superhuman strenght to actually do so!). If you combine the spin of the pieces with Haki, you can obtain pretty powerful weapon (thinking about them functioning the same way as that marine wheels with the wheel wheel fruit). Buggy is also very proficient with knives and seeing his fist spinning crazy fast while holding three knives like he does is pretty terrifying. Also being able to reconstruct himself in any shape he wants without suffering any damage, might be another key component of his fighting style (you can think about that time at Log Town, in which he literally reconstruct himself to buld a car structure with a car motor). What do you think about the Puzzle Puzzle Fruit? there are a lot of overlooked devil fruit in one piece and this is one i would really like to see a video about. Have a nice day!!

Hey Tekking, for Kizaru's swords I think it works sort of like a light saber. My theory is that he's sword is so charged, dense and hot that it forms a plasma sword. But it is more likely that haki is what actually makes possible for it to hit solid things. It would be kind of cool if he turn his word into a black-light sword using haki lol

Hey Tekking, I'm no physic. But I studied this in my engineering degree. From my understanding E=mc^2 is revolutionary exactly because of the opposite: Light has mass, everything moving at speed of light has a mass, thus you can make lasers, convert eletromagnetic waves in light (its a complicated process, it also brings the Schrodinger theorem, that states the state of an electron depends on the observer). But to aid to your ideia, its kinda possible, the equation you're looking for is: Ec=(1/2)mv^2 for kinetic energy. This energy is the energy of a body at certain speed. So if v=c , light speed, Kizaru accelerating a body/object to the speed of light would have tremendous energy (think of a bullet, not the speed of light, not even sound, but tremendous energy already). What's "game breaking" is that speed of light would mean objects would move before their image, like before the image of Kizaru reaches your eyes, he's in front of you (i know that's a bit confusing). In terms of breaking the time-dimension, I think that would not be the case, since the universe expands at 2.5/3 times the speed of light (just wanna throw that out there, cause I initially i thought that also could be the case). Anyway as I said before, I haven't got a physics major (just eletrical engineering) so the first part about E=mc^2 (pertaining quantum physics) might have some mistakes, I'm open to any corrections.

Henrique Figueiredo i get what you're trying to say there about kizaru being in the point where is going before you can even see him. It was the same concept of how we see the light from distant stars, if the distance between earth and the said is star is say like 100B light years, it means that it took the light from that source to reach us 100b light years. The star might be already dead by the time its light reached earth.

Yes! Exactly that! An example closer to us is the Sun, the light from the Sun takes 8 minutes to get to Earth, so if something happened to the Sun we only would know 8 minutes later. Just some brief corrections to my comment: Kizaru would not be in front of our eyes BEFORE his image, it would reach us at the same moment (light speed) but our brains take an extra mili/microseconds to process that image, so we would always be "late". Regarding energy, I talked about kinetic energy, but the energy of a body is composed of various energies: Kinetic, Potential, Thermal, Radiant, Magnetic, Electric, and so many more. The thing is, if we assume a body has no prior energy, and we put it at light speed, most of its energy will be kinetic. But as the object speeds way, velocity is lost, and that energy is converted to various kinds of energy. Thermal and Radiant are important here, because as Tekking said in the video, Kizaru lasers melt steel, so, he's "injecting" a big amount of thermal energy into those bodies (I'm not gonna talk about radiant energy, because I know so very little about it, and if I'm not mistaken it acts more on a molecular level (fun fact, the light coming from the Sun is radiant energy, created from all the chemical reactions)). What's good about the kinetic energy example is that a body does not lose energy, it transforms it into different kinds of energy. So if we assume at an initial moment, there is no energy other than kinetic (or that all the other energies are so small that are irrelevant), we know that energy is constant, even though as time passes kinetic energy is lost, the total energy of a body is the same, just expressed through other kinds of energy. So if we calculate the kinetic energy at "moment 0" then we know the total energy of a body, regardless of the time passing by. (Sorry for this long explanation, it's just for someone who, like me, could have interest about these kinds of things)

Yo I’m into physics. Here’s a terrifying fun fact. Photons (particles of light) if charged with enough energy can break nuclear bonds. The nuclear bomb does the damage it does because it creates its energy by breaking nuclear bonds. So theoretically if kizaru really wanted to he could set off a nuclear bomb anywhere anytime. Just gotta shoot the laser hard enough (also photons have no upper bound to how much energy they can be charged with so kizaru can be infinitely powerful maybe?).

If energy is mass times lightspeed squared, i've heard that if you can turn matter in to energy, you can also do it the other way around so... Turn energy (in this case light) in to matter. Which is way harder but if kizaru is awakened he propably could pull that off and make a light sword.

Forza Ac Milan I’m pretty sure the OP was joking we’ve seen at least one person (Rayleigh) “keep up”. But also the issue with Observation Haki is you need to be fast enough to move even if you know it’s coming. Especially if Kizaru sent two or more attacks at light speed. Even if you knew seconds in advance due to Observation (well within even regular Earth human reaction time) you’d have to move at light speed to block, dodge, or react the second and remaining attacks.

Actually, regarding light refraction and colours, it basically goes like this: The colour of a particular object is determined by which rays from the light spectrum it absorbs, and which ones it refracts. A Red object is red because it absorbs orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet light, and it reflects the red light, which is what you see when the waves reach your eyes. For white objects, the item in question bounces back the seven colours of the spectrum (which combined form white) and the opposite happens for black objects: they absorb everything (creating black which is the absence of light/colours).

Kizaru probably can move at the speed of light; provided he has no mass while traveling, because if he didn't there would be a NUCLEAR CHAIN-REACTION!! (... Turning into Light itself actually would remove all mass from his body. ...) For a Different Question; Kizaru could make a sword photons by adding mass to the photons; which could done by have a concentrated amount of Photons interacting with the air, or he could just change the Energy into mass. (... If E=MC^2, then by MATH, M=(E/C^2) ...) Plus it's anime, I'm pretty sure that the Ungodly amount of Energy needed to create that sword is covered by the "Pika Pika No Mi". After all Eneru's Fruit is the Inferior version of Kizaru's Fruit.

Light swords are technically possible. Photons can copy atoms in the right conditions and become crystals. Kizaru the master of light and an admiral could make light crystals into the shape of a sword with a bit of practice. His light sword thus makes sense.

I think for a DF awakening, Kizaru can cause a large area around him to be filled with a strong light, kinda like Law's area, and he can literally instantly travel to a light particle within that space, and making him able to travel at the speed of light to any light particle, effectively teleporting. Here you have some corrections. First, light travels at less than 200K miles per second and not millions of miles per second (300M meters per second actually, do not confuse mps as meters per second with miles per second). Second, there is no problem for Kizaru to move at light speed as long as he stays in his 'elemental' form. Indeed, as long as he is made of light he has no mass and therefore nothing wired happens to the environment. Further, sticking to our physics rules, he cannot travel at light speed when not transformed because this would require infinite energy. Following this logic, being his lasers made of light they have to travel at light speed. Third, E=mc^2 means that energy equals mass times light speed (a simple constant). It makes really no sense to assume he might be able to convert mass into energy. Follow this logic, energy = mass times the speed at which Matt can travel and not E=m times Matt. It is different. Further, he might be able to convert things into light and not energy (light and energy are not synonyms). Also accelerating something simply implies that you are adding energy into a system in order to make something happen, you are not converting mass into energy (if this was the underlying logic). Additionally, he might be able to turn the environment in his element and not to convert it (Akainu for instance transforms things into lava he does not convert them). So because of these and many other reasons he should not be able to convert mass into energy. Finally, the only really interesting side effect of his fruit might be the ability to affect the passing of time. In fact, as something approaches light speed, time starts to flow notably slower compared to other objects that do not travel at such speed. So you can have some sort of Interstellar effect where Kizaru decides to travel for say a year very quickly ending up one year older with everybody else much older compared to the starting point with respect to Kizaru. If Alderan had a magma core, the laser could've overheated it to the point the sheer volume of erupting lava made it explode. If it had an ice core, the melting of the ice might make some parts of the planet collapse/implode, and if there's gas pockets here and there, then there's your boom
