I had a tracker on my dog. Last winter he went missing for a week. I found him over 50 miles away from home in the middle of the woods. I live in Alaska. Could not track using the tracker, just wasnt working for some reason. But when i found him, His collar was gone, He had frostbite all over, Porcupine quills in his whole body and he was just all around in bad shape but alive. He healed up though. But since then, I've been trying to find alternatives to keeping his location known. Of course, all of the option ONLY work if the collar stays on him. We can put chips in people for worthless tasks but we cant put trackers in our pets for some unknown reason and its ridiculous. Nonetheless, I found him using my tracking skills, not the technology. I'm just thankful he was still alive. A whole week, No sleep, My pack and a tent gridding out the woods until he was found. Found him on day 7 just as the sun set. It was a wild ride, Im glad his instincts kicked in to keep him alive in the alaska weather.

I wished I could afford your Patreon! But I'm a disabled old lady that rescued for over 40yrs....BEFORE any social media etc....everything came out of my pocket and VERY generous veterinarians! ....I seriously miss rescue (never thought I'd say that 😆)....even when I'm on the old people bus...I see a loose dog that I can't jump out and save! lol....so now I feed stray kitties and stray wildlife on the porch....beats a blank!.... I use the last one you reviewed on my pup. He is a 12 pound maltipoo I don’t use a collar I use a harness for him and I just screwed it onto the the top part that on his back. You didn’t mention that it’s even good for a small dog and a harness 😊.

Oh hey good call!! I honestly didn’t go in about harnesses because we use flat collars and such on all our big dogs, but so many people use harnesses, we’ll keep that in mind next time, thanks for the input 🙏🏻🐶🧡

@@TyeFriis Yes I figured that’s why you didn’t mention it since you showed collars only but for those that are interested I figured it would help. I just find on my pup since he’s small, a harness works better.

I just dived into dog ownership again with a Vizalla. My brother says Airtags are bad for the dogs due to the tracking signals. I threw the counter arguements but it left me concerned. Advise pls

This got me thinking. If someone took your dog they could always take the collar off or just get rid of the tag especially out of the silicone ones. But what if the microchips had a tracker inbuilt. Probably not technically possible and much more expensive but I think it maybe a good idea. 😜

No way man the first one you used my dog is like a magician he knocked those things off. He’s literally lost like four lights that was on the same type of system. He wants lost two in one night within an hour.

I use an air tag for my keys but it may be a good idea for at least the hound pup who follows his nose. Thank you for all of the recommendations I will have to look into them

Almost got the Tile Sticker for my dog . $30, non-removable battery lasts 3 years PLUS $30 per year for tracking service. Over 12 years (depending on the dog) that’s $120 for Tile tags and $360 in premium service. $480 total. Yikes. Glad I went with AirTags.

I’m in desperate need of help, I’m trying to find a dog collar that thieves can’t easily remove. Any suggestions? Please help me I have a Siberian Husky and unfortunately where I’m from people are nasty, cruel and shady. What’s the point of getting the best world gps collar if the thieve could easily remove it. I’ll appreciate any form of help. 🙏
