I've blown 3 starters in my 86 CUCV over the last 15 years and I barely use it. This must be why, thanks for the detailed guide, gonna get it done today! (and order a new starter)

I just keep cutters in ashtray, it was 82 and 83 that had issue. Fixed on newer trucks

Nice job on the video, this seems to be a very common problem on CUCV's. But I'm wondering why you didn't just replace the original relay with a new relay?

Apparently the original relays were designed for A/Cs and are kinda junk on their tolerances.
