According to the principles of ELO rating you can calculate the odds of a player like Hikaru winning against the avg 1200 player. He would have a roughly 0.999999964 win rate. Against a 2100 player, he would have a 0.987739137 win rate. It's still surpising that he's doing this well against 2000 rated players.

Very good GM Nakamura remembering a little of the chess literature of the time of the players considered the strongest in his country. Very cool to show the absolute advantages of neutralizing and blocking with pawn structures. Dynamic and static plays over pawn tensions, breaks columns (rupture), exchange of pieces and materials, keeping pieces overloaded with excellent structure and pawn chains, defensive patterns and pawn fortitude to protect the king, or applied trigonometric parameters. That's why few FIDE titles and chess professionals manage to reach and remain among the best in the world. Congratulations GM Hikaru an exceptional skill. 🙄🤔👊
