The tax code seems overly complex, making it difficult to identify the most tax-efficient strategies for my income and investments. Are there resources available to help me understand relevant deductions and credits that could maximize my after-tax returns?
@PennyBergeron-os4ch
@PennyBergeron-os4ch Ай бұрын
You're right, the code can be a beast. There are definitely resources available to help you understand deductions and credits. The IRS website has a wealth of information, but for a more personalized approach, consider consulting with a tax advisor who specializes in investments. They can help you identify strategies that maximize your after-tax returns.

I love the insight. Professionals could make a really big difference in investing, and I think everyone should have one. There are aspects of market trend that is difficult for the untrained eyes to see. I have made more than 350% through my estateplanner(fa) by alternative investing. The portfolio comes with perks as well.

You realise that no matter how many laws there are to discourage certain behaviours, the government could still just tell you how much you owe them like they do everywhere else.
@kyleperez4959
@kyleperez4959 5 ай бұрын
The IRS already computes how much you owe them, but they just don't tell you. (Well, as long as your return is simple). At 6:08 he mentions that if you make a small mistake in filling taxes, the IRS tells you this and gets you to resubmit your return. This is the sign that the way we file taxes every year is a literal scam; the IRS already knows what needs to be filled out and they have all your tax information already, but instead you need to waste your own time (and potentially money) repeating the work that they do so other companies can hopefully make a few bucks off of you.

i always had really easy taxes before but i got way more forms this year, and i wish there were clear instructions about what form goes where on my taxes. like, reading through the line by line instructions from the irs doesn't clear it up. i wish there was an option to just check off every form you have from a list, and then get prompted where to put info from those forms. it's overly complicated in the us for no good reason. some forms i received don't seem to even be needed, so why did i get them?

Great video! Question: Aren't business expenses only partially deductible? Like if you bought a $5000 vacuum, you could only deduct maybe $1000 from your income? (I'm just using rough numbers). Is this correct? Or can you actually deduct 100% of the expense?
@jaiveersingh5538
@jaiveersingh5538 5 ай бұрын
You can deduct the whole expense. The entire point is to encourage you to invest back in your business and help it grow. The government wants more small businesses to buy the better vacuums etc that help them continue expanding the economy. There are a few specific types of business expenses that don't get the full treatment, though, because they're too easily used for personal benefit instead of business benefit. Think: cars, houses, etc.
