Back at the old house some people had mean things to say about Miss Olivia, she needs to be out there helping you milk the goats, she needs to help you build the.... I don't blame them for not having her on camera with the things that were being said, no one wants to hear anything about their child. And it would break my heart knowing that Miss O read those comments. I don't care that when you were a kid growing up you did everything on the farm, good for you. Miss O may not have been out sweating with All but there are plenty of things to do in the house to help while Gina is with Al.

Wicked must handle them a lot. There was no squealing or squirming when transferring them to your crate, nor to their stall. So cute that they enjoy petting and belly rubs. Seems like a great breed.

Yes, that was something I noticed as well. That doesn't happen normally unless they're given serious interaction. Almost at the level trained pigs are. You are aware they have more IQ points than Dolphins and dogs. Which means a little mental stimulation could go a long way. I did just a few minutes with one of my sisters macaws and the day after over 500 miles away she calls me knowing why it's making a drippy faucet noise. She just never caught me training it.

Gooood morning Al, Gina, Olivia and Lumnah Acre friends! IPP's are a good breed. I grew up on a farm where we raised feeder pigs. When Mom and Dad went to town, my brother and I used to sneak up on the sleeping sows and hop on for a ride. Don't worry people, we were young and skinny and they were big sows! Sitting and listening to a Baltimore Oriole sing outside my window. Leg is doing better, see the doc on Wednesday to see if it is ok to take the boot off. Happy Father's Day! God bless everyone!

Has been a little on the cool side, which is good since the plants recovered nicely from transplanting, but they are growing slower since up until this past week it was still getting down into the 40's at night. Should start taking off this week. Decided not to plant any seed, so only have half a garden this year. Still is 1/4 of an acre. How's your garden this year?

Warning!!! They will root on virgin Pasture that has not had pigs on before. But they will only flip the top soil and if you rotate them regularly, by the time they come back to that Pasture they will typically only eat the grasses. The Pasture will recover quickly so it's easy to rotate them on a schedule.

Good morning Lamnah family ! Here is a suggestion for the food pigs. Grill or Gurly and Barbie. When you start to bread, please install a crash bar so the baby pigs have a safe zone. Sows are big heavy and not always aware that the piglets are under them.

Good Morning Lumnah's! So exciting to see the new little ones on the homestead. Gina, our favorite pita bread sandwich: Since the bread can be a little dry, a scant teaspoonful of oil spread on the inside. Fill with a slice of ham, slice or two of hard salami, slice of provolone cheese, tomato, lettuce, little onion. Top with a sprinkle of oregano and enjoy.

i do have a recipe suggestion for gina's pitas...the spice pallet is per pound of ground meat,1tsp salt, 1 tsp oregano, 1tsp flour, half tsp black pepper, half tsp garlic powder, half tsp onion powder, guarter tsp cayenne(optional....the sauce is i 12 oz. can evaporated milk. 3 quarters cup sugar 2teaspoons garlic powder quarter cup vinegar. you can make a larger batch for the freezer. i put the meat mixture through my food processer for 3 minutes, changes the texture so it doesn't crumble like meat loaf ...i wrap each portion in extra wide foil with olive oil on the inside, bake at 350 degrees for 1 and a half hours, garnish with diced onion and tomato...and the sauce. make sauce the night before only stir it when you combine the ingredients

Good morning Al and Gina! I change my wiper blades regularly, but if you are going on a trip with rain in the forecast. I highly recommend Rainx washer detergent! That stuff repels rain!! What cute pigs. I grew up on a pig farm and I loved cuddling with the piglets. They were so used to me I could pick them up and they never squealed. Those littles ones hardly knew that they were being moved. I hope they settle in well and that you can start a successful breeding next year with many healthy piglets.

Gina they recommend you switch your wiper blades at least when they are a year old. So if you changed it in June last year, you should change them again now. Of course if something happens to them you can change more freequent , but rule of thumb is one year. Hope you and your family have a nice day.

Reading on the breed, it states on the IPP they require protein supplement if raised for meat, because they cant get all the proteins the require from the grass.

@@genewileyopa Hi Gene! doing better. See the Doc on Wednesday, and will see if it is ok to walk without the boot. Looks like a rainy day for us too. We had tornadoes north and south of us on Wednesday afternoon. But only wind and rain here. The prayers worked!
