It’s kind of funny that they just assume that you’re not using pressure treated seal plates. I know you just by watching you all these years. Everything that is below foot level is pressure-treated wood. I think you really know what you’re doing and others are just assuming you don’t, you’re doing a wonderful job out. You have your roots from Massachusetts a lot of people from the state know that purchase treated the best way to go besides like I said I have followed you for many years and I know what you use for materials. Don’t let those yahoos get you down you might be younger than me young man, but I have learned quite a bit from you. Keep up the good work, sweetie. You and Gina have done a lot. I have one question how are the other kitties doing in the house the first bond cats😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

Freezing outside water for animals. I use canned beets with no added sugar, add water, blend. Then I add about 1 cup per gallon of water. They really don't get much of the natural sugar but it does help prevent freezing

Good morning Lumnahs. It is definitely warmer here in western Texas. Lately we've been a little above freezing during the day. At night in the 20s. Thank you for sharing your barn building adventure with us. All along your construction projects, I keep seeing your cats. They appear to be some very interesting and talented felines. They not only keep your buildings rodent free but, they climb around on walls and ladders and take flying leaps from ladder to ladder. They are not only healthy and cute but, they are also very skilled and talented. Plus they are skilled hunters. Your felines have got to be a most special species of cats. You seem to be raising a highly sophisticated and talented cat. Are they from the breed, "hunter, acrobatic, cold climate, farm and barn feline cozy kitty"? You have some of the most interesting homestead farm animals. Appreciate your sharing your experience and knowledge. Keep safe, healthy, discerning, strong and successful. Looking forward to seeing what ya'll are doing on your next video. Blessings and prayers ☝ 🙏 🙌 until next time. 🖐

Have you heard of a study on the number of nails used when hammering them in the old fashion way vs using a nail gun? I bet the projects built today using nail guns have more nails in them (at least if the home owner was involved in the building project). When I use my nail gun, I think oh, a few more nails would not hurt. If I had to manually hammer them in I bet I would use less nails. 😊

When in doubt about your pressure treated wood ask Ken. He’s not working but has the experience we can all trust. But in my experience your ok but check out the hardware for use with this wood. I used the wrong screws and after 3 months had to change them all on my swing. Thumbs up 👍
@StoneKathryn13 күн бұрын
I have to use the stainless steel screws for my deck because the original ones all corroded away and trying to snow shovel the deck is so frustrating because the screw heads keep popping up! There is nothing holding the deck boards down anymore in spots so I replace them all with the stainless steel deck screws and drive them in low. The decking is copper treated boards and so the original screws lost in the galvanic response when things got wet! I can't unscrew a single original screw because the shafts are all gone. It's a little frustrating because I had to remove many boards to replace the flashing that had rotted away too! I think building materials have improved since the 1980s!
