Loved this; I love Doja and also metal (neoclassical, dare I mention numetal), prog rock, alt rock, hardcore etc but had no idea she even did this. She's extremely quirky,, allher live performances are theatrical as heck, she's an amazing dancer and on her lives she does the most random shit, impromptu performances, fucks around with her fans. She was always a more alternative girl for a rapper. Now please react to this metal cover of WAP, it is better than I could have ever imagined. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXmugnZjoJibjrc

This was so refreshing and I was so happy to hear it. I’m really hoping she does more like this in the future. I would love to see the darker side of Doja Cat as I slowly finally let my darker side back out. Stay rocking friends! 🤘🏽🤘🏽

Great reaction. Although I'm surprised at the section when she says "I really like this guitar part" she didn't comment on how Dojas vocals rose up and were perfectly on point and the guitar solo took off and the transitions was so seamless that it almost takes a second to realize the guitar took over and it wasn't her voice anymore. That was just wow. Impressive, Doja and band.

I don’t think I’ve heard of this group before. Being a metalhead I certainly prefer pop stars converting to metal or rock than the other way around... I know of some top 100 pop songs just because I’ve heard them on the radio at work or around some family, and I’ve found metal versions that I really like. For example Royals covered by Otep. It is interesting how some of these pop artists that have gone metal don’t sound too far removed from some 70s rock haha. Although they could be more creative with their lyrics. Alice Cooper put some serious thought into his lyrics.

Please, please, PLEASE react to "SAWAYAMA" by Rina Sawayama. She blended pop and metal so seamlessly on that album and it was magic! You would love it

I always have a chuckle when people find out rappers are into and enjoy doing rock and metal songs. But i applaud when artist do things like this to show not only their interest in things outside their supposed bubble they perform in, but how their skills and vocals can be used in other genres. ( example: i know people that flipped their tables when they saw Denzel Curry do Bulls on Parade and even Chop Suey and found out afterwards that he was a rapper.) I suggest looking at the BoP if you havent. Awesome review!

Great review! And good to see you doing well too! We hung out in Chippewa Falls at the White Empress concert many years back! You graciously allowed me and a friend to hang out with you during soundcheck! Always a treasured moment of my life!

One of the guitar players looks like Sonia Anubis, a dutch guitar player from Cobra Spell/Crypta.

I got that Heart Shaped Box vibe from the setting. The flowers especially. And the movie where the girl comes out of the tv is called “The Ring”. Great movie! But this song is on my playlist for when I sneak my earbuds in at work. 😂 I love this version. But yeah, as soon as you said something about “grunge”, I was like THAT WAS MY REACTION. But not only that, the females singing in sync in the background made me think of Evanesance. I don’t know if you would agree but that’s what I feel when I hear the women in the background singing. But yeah, Now I feel great cause I’m not the only one who got that grunge vibe. I thought I was the only one. Thankkkss! Also, new to this channel but I like you. Rad shit🤟🏻 Subbbbed.
