I love how the definition of Flanderization fits Flandre perfectly in how many secondaries and novice fans treat her. Flanderization - The act of progressively exaggerating a single trait (or set of traits) of a character until it overtakes all other characterization. Think about it. Those who read up on Flandre, battle her in the EoSD Extra Stage, and/or read any of the official Touhou books written by ZUN know that there's more to Flandre than her being an insane psycho bitch. Sure, she's powerful, but god, I hate people who just think she's Ms. Insane-Psycho-Anime-Waifu.

There is an actual way to get to Gensoukyou from your dreams. Since Gensoukou is the land of illusions, it also lands on the boundary between dreams and reality. Just hope that Yukari decides to pass by in your dreams or have a lucid dream and call for her. That usually works, but beware, dying in Gensoukyou means that you have to wait a few months or even YEARS before going back!

Ok I did some more research into Norse mythology and found out that Sinmara, a female figure, keeps the Lævateinn. And as we all know, Flandre owns the Lævateinn. It could be possible she is Sinmara? She might also be Menglöð or Freyja. I don't know for sure if she is referred to one of these but her wand or whatever-you-want-to-call-it is from Norse mythology so I assume she is a reference to someone in Norse mythology. Loki could be one of them since he is a trouble maker and snarky. But it's not a for sure reference, ZUN could've referenced her accidentally to Norse mythology.

Think of it as a matter of perspective. yes, Marisa is very popular, but remember that she is basically a protagonist along with Reimu, that she appeared in every single Touhou game (excluding Touhou 1) and every single manga, and thus she has a very important role in the general lore. Now compare her to Flandre, a character who only had ONE minor appearance in ONE game (excluding the spin-offs wich barely have any story), same thing with the mangas (until now) and basically has ZERO relevance in the lore Yet she is nearly as popular as Marisa because..... y'all do realize that just because zun made the characters and dictates, however sloppily and uninterestingly, the sum of their personalities, it doesn't mean it's the best option for his characters? i mean with all the dozens of characters present in the franchise none of them are even cAnOniCaLLy gay, according to zun, and after being left in isolation for 5 centuries flandre would absolutely have some amount of mental instability. pretty sure that with how lax and bare-bones so many of his characters are, you should be taking his decisions on them with a hefty grain of salt
