Dolomites 2020 (Italian Alps) on motorcycles Honda Transalp XL700V and Africa Twin CRF1000L

Motorcycle trip of one week to the Italian Dolomites on Honda Transalp XL700V and Africa Twin CRF1000L (DCT), September 2020. Started in Kempten, Germany, through Austria to San Leonardo in Passiria and then 3 days in Colfosco.

Klopt, je kan het zien bij de start (0:46) en aan het eind als we terug komen (bij 38:00). Dit was de tweede keer dat we dit hotel en de garage als startpunt gebruikten. Het is eenvoudig, schoon, goed bereikbaar vanaf de snelweg en er is een restaurant op de hoek.

The Africa Twin is the better one but mainly because it’s a much newer design than the Transalp. It has a more modern equipment like ride-by-wire, traction control, better suspension, ride modes and last but not least a 1000cc engine with 95 HP instead of 60 for the Transalp. But all that comes with a price: a second hand Transalp is much cheaper than a Africa Twin.

All footage was made with two GoPro Hero 8 Black camera’s. Video editing was done with Windows Live MovieMaker. Unfortunately the Timmelsjoch Motorcycle Museum as shown in the video from 3:42 went up in flames on 18 January 2021.
