I remember going here as a kid…you don’t see these too much anymore

Could hear the "flying bobs" plain as day all over that area. The music and the guy running it. The random people walking on our front sidewalk heading to the carnival. We had to put lawn chairs out front to save our parking spot. The 4th of July living in Dolton back then was really special. Will never forget it.

Does anyone remember that one year midway through the fireworks ground show lightning struck and within seconds it was a down pour of rain? Everyone had to pick up their lawn chairs and blankets and run to their cars? Fortunately my family lived a half a block away.

Carl, is there an unedited version of this? Only reason I ask is because I have family in this video and every second is awesome! Thanks!

Sorry, this is all I have. Gene Tomky worked the the Dolton Cable Co. and saved this in edited form, as they showed on the cable channel then. Any unedited would be on video tape (the old version with huge cassettes). They would tape over and over on that. I'll keep you in mind in case anything pops, though.
