DOM how to move orders fast (Sierrachart / Jigsaw Daytradr)

This video shows a few tricks for moving orders quick for scalping in and out of trades using the Sierra Chart software. We have been playing a lot with Sierra Chart and really love it so expect to see more related content in the future.

Very good ideas. In Sierra Chart I managed to configure the "Move Attached Targets to Price" and "Move Attached Stops to Price" with execution by mouse-click only. No additonal shortcut needed. I did it with "Trade --> Chart Trade Mode On" and with "Trade-->"Draw DOM Graph on Chart" by setting via the "Chart DOM Settings"

@@VerrilloTrading Yes, but I have to precise it: I did it with "Trade -->Trading Chart DOM on" and "Chart DOM Settings - Global" -->configure right / left mouse click to map the desired order types

Always loved Jigsaw's click to drag stops/targets setup hotkey to move target today and like you say GAME CHANGER! I prefer Jigsaws way but this works might get special mouse for trading that has stop/target on it so I don't have to remember weird key hotkey. Thank you! Just starting to become profitable after two frustrating years this will help a lot can't tell you how often my target is a tick or two away doesn't get filled and then I lose on trade!

Thank you for sharing your experience with both Jigsaw and Sierra DOM. I found it a very useful comparison. I use IBKR data to feed into Jigsaw to analyze order flow, but I love the simplicity of scale in/scale out feature of Sierra Charts for trade management. I don't know if is possible to connect the two applications through IBKR's API. How do you connect Jigsaw and Sierra DOM simultaneously?

In my opinion right now sierra is far superior, there is truly no comparison. Any comparison that is being done is by people that are either 1. marketing one software over the other or 2. haven't been able to use sierra to it's full capability.

Thanks for asking. In fact I've tested a few datafeeds on both platforms and have concluded this. CQG data works well on jigsaw overall. Rithmic worked better on Sierrachart, it was more stable with less lags during high volatility. Denali datafeed from SC is by far the most accurate and the best in terms of historical data. For real time data the speed is the same and maybe faster too. You can actually adjust a few parameters related to data compression which is not possible with any other datafeed. Overall my experience with the denali datafeed has been super and I don't have any reason to use anything else at this point.

Whats the point of using this if you are using hotkeys? I mean I use ladders but mainly for information- especially if you are using a trailing stop

Yes but momentum Tail doesn’t in sierraChart I use it a lot in jigsaw

You can make momentum tails in Sierra but it requires you to combine a few studies. I think TicinoTrader did a video on it.

@@VerrilloTrading i saw example of ticino it’s not the same at all , and something else in jigsaw the tape is amazing for example at price x there is 300 contracts at bid on jigsaw you can see how many trader hit the bid he split 300 contracts at x traders , sierraChart has MBO right it’s good and copytrade also good but the dom I use only dom to trade jigsaw better

It works on chart too because in Sierra there is a Chart DOM which functions very similar to Trading DOM.
