What NFL player who gets injured doesn't get derailed? It's brutal to live normally after they've played in the NFL. Get addicted to pain meds, can't walk, and do non-stop medical treatment for chronic injuries. Most NFL players all think about the millions they'll make in their 10 or so years, not the pain ridden 40+ years left in their life. The average NFL player plays for 4 years. I don't think it's worth it.

Special teams can't tackle. 4. Horrible officiating. 5. Game goes to OT and Manning never gets the ball. 6. Manning gets put in situations he never should be in, but takes the blame for all of it if he isn't perfect. He was the greatest QB of all-time.

This game might've ended in a tie if it were played 10 years later or now in 2019 because under the old OT rules, whoever scored first in OT, FG or TD, won the game. After 2009, even if the team that wins the coin toss first and gets the ball and kicks a FG like Carolina did here would have to allow Indy to have possession to match it and considering how that Colts offense was in the middle stages of becoming one of the most high-octane, explosive offenses in NFL history, the Greatest Show on Turf II, with Peyton Manning at the helm, I have a strong sense the Colts would've drove the field and scored at very least a FG, most likely a TD. If Colts would've responded with a FG after Kasay gives Carolina the initial lead, I can't see there being enough time for Panthers to push a quick drive to kick another game-winning FG. A better, more displined, defense who emphasized more effective tackling would not have allowed so many missed or broken tackles I saw from Colts LB's, DB's, D-linemen, who had great position and excellent angles to tackle Steve Smith or Deshaun Foster for losses on runs or preventing extra gains after receptions. The effort was there most times, but their overall technique was subpar at best and pathetic at worst.
@Bakuru5 жыл бұрын
Our defense was always our biggest problem. We never had great front 7 work. Not great linebackers and no notable CBs to speak of. We only had 2 shining spots. Freeney and Mathis, the best DE duo ever in my opinion LOL, and Bob Sanders, one of the best safeties ever when he could stay healthy. As proof of that, the first year he DID stay healthy, 2006, he won DPOY and we won the SB 💯

Nice upload. It's remarkable the Panthers actually won this game. But this was a microcosm of their entire season. Went to OT 5 times, winning 4 of them including a playoff game, had a middle of the pack offense, and good defense, and most of their games were close.
