DOMINATOR - SECRET Dodge Dart Build!

Our friend Joe Woods had a little secret to show the world this weekend in the 405 at the Conquer the Concrete no prep race. He's been BUSY this winter working on his 1967 Dodge Dart. When we ran into him it was quite the SHOCK! Dominator has gone from a nitrous powered setup to a big block chevy 632ci twin 88mm turbo powered setup he will be running this year! it's no secret we're big turbo fans, we can't wait to see Joe taking down the competition with this BEAST of a setup this year!

I had the pleasure to meet Joe Woods AKA Dominator at the Tucson no prep race on Jan 5/6 2018. He is a class act. It was Saturday night at 1145 PM and cold 40 degrees for Tucson. It was late after a full day of racing and most of the racers that were already out had packed up and left. Joe and his wife were still signing autographs and just hanging out BS'in with fans. He will always be one of my favorites.

Dominator has always been my favorite out of the Oklahoma crew, always seems to be humble, and is one of the few that don't have a mouth bigger than their brain. Hope he is successful with the new setup, and gets a Hemi in the future lol

I been in love with this car ever since Street outlaws aired. I was wondering when dominator was going to one up his car and now he finally did it. This is one of my favorite car of the three I have that are on the entire list aside from the crow and and Monza's sinister split bumper camaro.

+1320video Smart switching to methanol. it's nice not worrying about searching and paying for race fuel. Methanol is the way to go. Don't even need and intercooler.

Yea he seems to try and stay out of drama of the show as much as he can. side note I think this is a really smart decision for him. also less dangerous, on the show I'very Seen quite a dew nitrous backfires and car burning down.

Guys, I think brand loyalty aside I don't anyone really thinks Chevy makes a bad engine but, this is a Mopar and needs a Hemi none the less. Its also no secret that a Hemi is the best option. I hope he gets one soon!

I hope this car makes it to drag week this year, and I hope that the lad from up here in Canada with the, er, well used Dart makes it again also. I believe that drag week is going to eventually be one of the major 1/4 mile events in North America. I love getting home from work during the week so I can start watching the feeds.

I don't blame him one bit for going with a BBC twin turbo set up. It's much more manageable, engine friendly and there is much more scope to increase or decrease power. It's a set up that is popular because it works and at reasonable cost. From what I hear he's lightened the car considerably too. Can't wait to see him run it!

Jake Morris Yes. First, there is no comparison between the this car and a Top Fuel dragster. Second, TT indicates "Twin Turbo"; Twin Turbo Top Fuel dragsters do not exist. You claim: "there are plenty of mopars that can beat GM cars, especially with the more efficient design of the hemi.". Not that would run in the same class as the car featured in this video. If you have proof to the contrary, name the car, car owner, ET, speed, date, event and sanctioned record held. There are very solid reasons there are no GM engines competing in Top Fuel and Funny Car classes.... the only allowed engine style must be a Chrysler Hemi derivative... every other manufacturer is excluded by the rules.
