Really loved the video! But what if the person has half the times upward slanting t bar (eg, when a word starts with letter t) & half of the times it's downward sloping? (When the letter t comes in b/w the word) I've seen this in one of my friend's handwriting. Will be glad if u respond to my query.
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 3 жыл бұрын
It is perfectly possible, Tanya, for someone to show different traits that show in the same stroke in the same writing. If half the t-bars are optimistic (slanting upwards) and half are domineering/dominating (slanting downwards), then this person generally has an optimistic outlook on life and are also inclined to take the lead - either successfully if dominating (blunt ending to t-bar) or unsuccessfully if domineering (fading out ending to t-bar)

What you answer the man below is so wonderful and hopeful for a case considered rather vimpossible (it seems, since nobody engaged and helped yet). The hard thing is to dedicate oneself and practise faith then.But what about when one can't sleep since 25 years, can it still work? I shouldn't think so, since Hippcampus shrinks with fear´, bd burnout, severe öalck of sleep longterm. Can that even be why I don't have those signs of dimination and domineering, - because my domineering is only because I am so traumatized and dead tired that nerves are irritable and I weakened? What do you think of the Indian Graphologers, who work differently, not so fixed on signs? I was surprised to hear an established, professional one woó had no clue what Felon's claw is. I don'rt know enough to explain, but they seem to work deeper, almost spiritually, although it is scientifically. I'd like an English G. speaking RP, because indians are hard to understand. But the one I got acquáinted with seems good and quite developed. It was strange when you said the hook on "n" was humour, not Felon's claw? Maybe there is a slight difference which escaped a beginner. I am worried that my analysis won't cover me, not show me, tell me enough, because the graphologer wantsn only 1 short sample, despiteme writing very differently at different times, moods and situations. I wnt him to see an old text, before worsened trauma/abuse, ecause my handwriting was better before. Is this flawed thinking on my part, please?I am too stubborn.

What does it mean when the cross on the T doesn’t actually touch the t, it’s slanted upwards but doesn’t touch the loop, kinda floats above it or touch the top without actually crossing it, and the loop isn’t a loop, it’s basically a trace?
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 5 жыл бұрын
First off if the ‘loop isn’t a loop, it’s basically a trace” that would indicate dignity. A t-bar slanting upwards shows optimism. The placement of the t-bar, I am not totally sure of where it is. If it’s floating above the t-stem it means you have dreamer goals … you tend to dream rather than take action. If it touches the top then it means you have very high goals. You stand at the bottom of the ladder of success, look at the top and say “yes I can do it” and then you go for it. Hope that answers your question, Lucy

Hiiiii....please tell is what changes one should bring about in handwritting to change personality from introvert to extrovert and outgoing....
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 7 жыл бұрын
That is a very big question, Vijay - too big to answer briefly. But here are a few traits an extrovert could have: show their feelings to a moderate extent (slant), be open minded, at least somewhat talkative, enjoy change and variety. Enthusiasm and optimism would also be good. And they would not be a loner. There are so many other traits too that could be advantageous to being an extrovert. And there are also so many traits that one would NOT want. If I was advising a client on this subject, I would have to look at their writing to see what was already there and then advise on the best changes to make. It is impossible to effectively give you enough information here, I’m sorry.

May I ask if you were trained by the International Graphoanalysis Society or a number of hardcore GRAPHOLOGY authors ? Which courses would you recommend for the novice ? I enjoy your videos..Thanks..
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 5 жыл бұрын
I did indeed originally train with International Graphoanalysis Society, almost 30 years ago, but then I did a one-on-one training/mentorship program with a German trained Gestalt Graphologist. So I do both. In the KZbin videos I stick mostly with the trait based graphology since Gestalt isn’t really well suited to the short, KZbin video format. As to what courses to take … I haven’t been around training courses for a long time, but I found IGAS as excellent start since it’s easy to understand, and then perhaps some Gestalt courses afterwards. IGAS used to just have full certification courses, but I believe they now have shorter ones that you can build on to get certification (but check that out … as I say, I’m rather out of touch with training programs.) Wherever you train, if you have the interest, which you appear to have, I am sure you will find it a fascinating study… and glad you enjoy the videos.

Does changing one's handwriting ACTUALLY change their inner, NORMAL personality traits (that they have developed through their entire life experiences), or will attempting this merely MASK their true personality ?
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 5 жыл бұрын
Changing one’s handwriting, Rob, can actually change your inner, normal personality. The key is persistence. It takes time. Any body language can change first consciously who you are, and then, if it’s kept up, it goes into the subconscious and that is when you have really changed effectively. Handwriting is just another form of body language which differs only in that it leaves a permanent trail in the form of writing. While you still have to make the changes consciously to keep your writing how you want it you have not really changed your personality yet. By the time you are writing in the new way without thinking about it, it’s become your natural way of writing, it is in your subconscious and it is who you now really are. So yes, your writing can indeed change personality traits. It takes about 3 weeks to get rid of an old habit (old strokes in the writing, for example) and another 3 to 6 weeks to entrench a chosen new habit to the point that it’s now a subconscious action. This timing assumes that at least 15 minutes of daily practice is happening.

@@FionaMacKayYoung That’s a lot to answer! I work sometimes with an Indian graphologist. We come from different angles, but our results appear to be very much the same. Gestalt graphology starts with looking at the overall picture, the trait based graphology starts with looking at the individual traits and graduating through the overall picture. Intuition is used once the traits are identified, to interpret them in light of the entire personality. In the videos on KZbin, I focus only on identifying individual traits since it is much more difficult to explain the Gestalt in such very short time frames. I can’t comment on any trait possible or otherwise in your writing since I haven’t seen it. However, the felon’s claw that you mention you expected me to identify in the ‘n’ when I said it was humor - the felon's claw is below the baseline as an ending stroke. The loop in the ‘n’ would be at the beginning of the letter above the baseline so is humor. A relatively short sample is not usually too much of a problem, so long as it is long enough to give a good example of the writing. However, if one is wanting to know the difference between how the writer was before and after, in your example, abuse & trauma, then a sample of writing previous to this would be necessary. When I do potential forgery analysis for lawyers/courts I always want, wherever possible, genuine writing from as near to the time of the potential forgery since it disallows for any writing changes over time.

I used to write with a slight backward slant with low t bars, i decided to change it yesterday to a more forward slant and high t bars. I got a headache after writing 4 lines with the new technique. I basically wrote the same sentence over and over. I have strong Bpd (and adhd), so I felt immediate resistance to any changes in my personality (the headache I got was sudden and powerful) - whenever I try to change things about myself, I’m hit with a wave of self sabotaging impulses and desires. Bpd always tries to keep itself entrenched in your personality as a survival mechanism of sorts. Super hard to heal from. But yesterday, after doing the handwriting, I swear I felt different. I started feeling optimistic, when normally I’m pretty pessimistic in the way I speak and think. There was an immediate change, at least for me. I suddenly had a desire to do my workout. I never ran so fast on my elliptical before, I found it easier to keep myself going. I thought, we’ll wow this is something else. I’m slightly worried this is just bias from what I’m hoping will happen, and will wear off in a few days. I’m planning on writing A lot more today with the new technique. I’m super excited. If this actually works for good, then imagine the possibilities this holds for people. It’s beyond ridiculous how incredible something so simple has done. Just holding my breath and will try to update in a few weeks.

Hi Fiona. How does taciturn behaviour show in a handwriting. How do we correct it. Thanks in advance
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 4 жыл бұрын
Taciturn is just quiet and reserved. Quiet shows in a lack of talkativeness, which is circle letters (a, o, and circle parts of d and g) with closed loops. For this it doesn’t matter whether or not the circles have loops within them. However a right hand loop on a circle letter means secretive which would certainly exaggerate the taciturn-ness. Another trait that could make this more noticeable would be a lack of emotional expression. For that you’d be looking at the slant of the writing. Upright is cool, calm and collected. Backhand slant is holding expression of feelings in. Shy or timid is another possibility and is rather more complicated to explain since it includes about the possibility of about seven different traits. Being rather abrupt also can be a ‘symptom’ that leads to being taciturn and this shows in writing with absolutely no lead in strokes, but just starts with the essential first part of the letter. I have videos on most of these traits, though I don’t think I have one yet on shy or timid.There is also the possible reason of snobbery which would show in very large personal pronoun “I” and large signature. So without seeing the writing to narrow it down, I can only give you quite a large range of options. Changing that behavior would first require identifying which of the above sources it springs from, then changing the writing to eliminate or reduce the problem traits. Hope that helps.

Does the t bar slant the other way if written by a lefty?
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 5 жыл бұрын
Sometimes, but not always, lefties write the t-bar from right to left. However, Lefties who are domineering/dominating usually write their t-bars left to right, slanting down. Not in reverse. The only time you really have to notice the t-bar with regard to someone possibly being a leftie is if the end of the t-bar fades out to nothing (sarcasm, unless it’s pointing downwards in which case it’s domineering). You may once in a while see one that fades out to the left and that is probably a leftie. But in almost all ways it really doesn’t matter whether someone is a leftie or not, it all analyzes out the same.

@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 4 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid there are no 'magic' traits that can solve this problem. I would need to see your writing to be able to identify from where the fear is coming. All I can suggest otherwise is that you work on all the determination traits: positive, starting power, practical to high goals, determination itself, persistence and tenacity. I have videos here on all these traits. But, as I say, it is really impossible to tell without knowing what is already in your writing.

That depends on whether you would prefer to be dominant or optimistic. Choose whichever you prefer. Or you can choose to use a mixture of both and have some of each trait. There is no 'better' or 'best', just different.

To me, a t-bar slanted downward is a negative trait.
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 4 жыл бұрын
It can be a negative trait. When it ends with a point, a downward slanting t-bar is domineering, which is undoubtedly negative. When it ends bluntly it is someone who likes to take control, which depending on how you feel about that could be negative to you, although it does mean leadership.

A pretentious hand-writing will not alter our mindset.
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 5 жыл бұрын
There is no suggestion of “pretentious handwriting.” You write who you are. If you don’t like something about yourself, you can change it. You can change it in a variety of ways. Handwriting or Graphotherapy is one such way and just like all the other methods of personal development, it is designed to help people be the best they can be. Not pretentious. Not artificial. Not arrogant. Just to become the best person they can possibly be. And as I say, Handwriting is one method of doing this successfully.

I don't see that if you change your handwriting you are going to change the way you are. Doesn't seem possible. My sister is very domineering, I don't think if she changed her handwriting it definitely wouldn't change the way she is.
@FionaMacKayYoung
@FionaMacKayYoung 5 жыл бұрын
Changing your handwriting to change as aspect of your behavior does work. The person doing it, however, has to do it deliberately and consistently until it becomes their natural way of writing. So your sister would have to actively work to change that. And since the trait you mention for her is domineering, I agree that this is unlikely she would do so. However changing your writing to change aspects of your personality does work and it is well proven to do so. What controls most of our behavior is the subconscious mind, not the conscious mind. The subconscious is programmed through spaced repetition, meaning keeping on doing the same thing over and over, with spaces between doing so. Once the subconscious is programmed that is then your natural behavior. Handwriting is body language and body language affects how you feel, just as how you feel affects how you act. If you act cheerful and happy consistently, you will feel more cheerful and happy and if you keep on doing so deliberately over a period of time it will become your natural behavior. The same goes for people who let themselves become miserable complainers. It starts as them just doing it now, but if it keeps on it becomes a habit and after a while the habit becomes who they are. It becomes their natural way of behaving. And since handwriting is also body language, if you consistently write in a particular way, the feeling and behavior that denotes will become your natural way of behaving, just as with being happy or complaining. It doesn’t happen overnight in any of these cases, but it does and will happen in them all. Changing your handwriting is changing your body language and changing your body language over a period of time changes your natural behavior.
