🇩🇲 Thanks Sister for the video on Dominica, country with tri color cross at its center that divides the flag into four rectangles/squares of green color? It was nice to know about Nature Island of the Carribeans. Much Christianity there too. Lots of info in the video. Quite amazing, thanks again Sister. 🌝🌚

Oh wowww, just sitting on this Sunday morning, listening to you jogging my memory of the history of my wonderful Nature Isle! I can say that you've done extremely well, especially with your pronunciation of some names which give others problems!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I don't mind being called Dominican, and my grandmother was kalinago mixed! Anyway Dominican Republic is named after my island because they were part of Hispaniola before it was divided into Santo Domingo and Haiti!

Lot of interesting information. I'm planning on exploring here in the next couple years. Those trees in the logging photos were Sitka Spruce and Western Red Cedar from the Pacific Northwest, same with the log dam.

Dominica produces the most food in the lesser Antilles .fish and water is in abundance .so how could it be the poorest ..we depend on nature for our richness not on material things which is temporary
@GeographyNuts2 жыл бұрын
I love your way of looking at wealth as long food and shelter is covered, fancy watch is not going to bring fulfilment. According many international originations and aid agency to the level of poverty in Dominica is high by East Caribbean standards: 29% of households and 39% of population struggle for food. Such a small country it is many people having hard time finding food. Thank you for watching and asking questions.
@johnpbrown33482 жыл бұрын
@@GeographyNuts 39% struggle for food .that ain't true at all..and the govt provide free housing for the ppl who can't afford housing .how many Caribbean or world countries does that .food Water shelter clothing is what's important .and most ppl have access to the internet and other material things .that 39% of Dominicans of Dominicans struggling to get food is a lie .that was probably after hurricane Maria in 2017..

It does seem far away. If I had money I wud fly there to be back same day to my original place. I would not be like Christopher who kept going to several places without the fear of rejection or harm. If only I had money. I may even use devices for first spying the place such as Satellite images or spies.We all do that, don't we? It is a very basic human nature, before we tread to some unknown place or people, first we like to do recce on the place/people.I dont think human ancestors were any different, just that they used different means.
