I think unfortunately a lot of people still think of Peter Frampton as just a 1970s pop pretty boy. When in fact he is, and always has been a fantastic guitar player! And is well respected by his peers! And Don Felder, well, "Fingers" can speak for himself! Truly one of the greats.

That's so true. The man is a brilliant blues guitarist and has only gotten better with age. I actually prefer to hear him now over when he was in his 'heyday'. Don Felder was and is wonderful in his own right.

Love this guy. His guitar in the Eagles was every bit as iconic as Henley's singing. But Henley and Frey got greedy. Sad. However, I'm glad Felder landed on his feet and I'd rather hear him play than hear Henley sing. There are now two Eagles cover bands since there really is not an original Eagles anymore. One has the singer, and the other one has the guitar player who was responsible for the writing of the Eagles most iconic song. Which guitar player would you rather hear play Hotel California? Yes, the guitarists in the Eagles play most of the notes right, but NOBODY plays it like Felder. And here he is just jammin' and sounding great as usual! I love this guy's guitar work. Frampton still kickin' it too!

The more I see Don Felder on his own, the more I like it. He was incredible in that toxic Eagles environment and now he's even better in a clean environment. And a humble guy to boot too! How much more could you ask for?

I feel the same way about the Eagles post Felder & Meisner. Henley & Frey were fools not to play fair with Don Felder. They lost an incomparable guitarist; who, when paired with Joe Walsh created a sound that's never been duplicated by any "New Eagles"' since. For me the Eagles were Meisner, Felder, Walsh, Henley & Frey. When they attempted their second reunion years later they based Felder's value on how "successful" and "visible" he'd been in the years between. Instead they should've based his value on the unique contribution he was to the band. The fans wanted "their" Eagles back. And instead, ego and greed caused Henley & Frey to cut off their noses to spite their faces. And as a post script- They treated Randy Meisner in such a belittling way. I don't care who sings Take It To The Limit; I will only ever like it the way Randy sang it.

Almost made me cry......I'm a huge SRV fan going back to before his first album when he was still in the shadow of Jimmie. Saw him several times at the Antone's Monday night blues party in the early 80s. Antone would let you in free with a student ID. Those were great times in Austin when it was still a small city and oil was booming. Clifford Antone brought in all the great black blues musicians going all the way back to Pinetop Perkins. The T-Birds were great live and Eric Johnson was still playing the local clubs. The great thing about Stevie is he progressed as a vocalist and guitar player as he aged and straightened himself out. I know Stevie would be proud that these two legends played one of his songs and the crowd sang along......

@ Texas Same here. Almost made me cry too. 2 guitar legends doing another’s song. And Stevie is gone. The tone. Touch. Talent. All the hours of practice alone. And the hours onstage performing. It’s a really good song, and they seem to be really good friends playing onstage, but maybe they’re grateful to be alive.

Felder and Joe Walsh made the Eagles what they are. Too bad Frey and Henley's greed destroyed what they had. You don't replace a talent like a Don Felder. You'd think that,so many years of comraderie and friendship would have meant more than money, especially after having made millions between them. I'm glad Felder continues, what an amazing talent.

Felder and Frampton - so cool. Both great guitarists, and both could sing! Let's think for a moment just how OLD these guys are, and they are still rocking. For those that are always comparing Don Felder to Joe Walsh - it's just not that important now. Both incredible guitarists. Both loved playing together on stage, but when the SHTF, Joe went into survival mode. Understandable. The Eagles might have saved his life. He felt beholden to them, and was happy being a hired gun. Felder made out just fine. Whenever I see interviews with him, he seems humble, admits some mistakes, but seems so at peace.

Jeez, Frampton 'bout peeled the paint off the wall with his solo. Sometimes I forget that British blooze thing he did with Humble Pie cuz it was so long ago. Age has nothing to do with it, though. Both those guys can still kick serious A. SRV is like Chuck Berry or Hendrix or Page. You gotta recycle those riffs if guitar is anything more than just a hobby. No guitar player is so great or unique that recycling his riffs is taboo. Steal from everybody, I say.
