Don't ALWAYS Throw Caution To the Wind!

It's great to have a good level of confidence when flying a drone, but maybe Don't ALWAYS throw Caution To the Wind! Sometimes, it's better to realise that the best course of action is to NOT launch the drone, and to return another day :)

I've found the reflective tape helps reduce interest from birds, for visibility a cree LED up it's jacksy helps with that, if the sun flashes out of its... you know it's facing away from you, if there are no flashes, you're filming a selfie!

Sold my Air 3 and withdrawing from the hobby for a while...might get back into it in 2025.....depending on regs which are going to change next year. Will still watch your vids.

When I was in Scotland last October I nearly lost my Mini 2 to severe wind gusts of nearly 60 mph. I flew against my better judgement and almost paid the price.

60mph would give even me cause to hesitate! :)

I have been in situations like this, i check the weather forecast before setting off to my destination to fly, only when i get there the wind is far stronger than i would ever fly my drone in, so had to abandon those sessions and go back home.

I put reflective tape on my Mini 4 pro and discovered that it had an affect on satellite positioning. I was getting a caution warning in locations I had previously flown my mini 2 with no problems. I removed the tape and went back to the locations and thankfully no more caution warnings.
