All this said, it is still a game for fun. Play what you want but I wanted to highlight how these could be better.

The terrain needs to be taken into account too, the builds are a bit different for UKTC terrain, over GW terrain. That said, a lot of what you discussed has given me room to think. Especially with the snake units and VRL (maybe it’s UKTC terrain but I always regret taking them).

@@ASBOmarc You know I did originally think about that to make a note of but as I thought about it, for most of the units in question for VO it seemed to have the same pros n cons. Wherever u put a Lictor it just becomes VRL assuming we haven't setup the board with Gargoyle jail yet or a Trygon as the Rapid Ingress user over Lictors, admittedly, at a cost. Snakes did originally change my thinking though because not being infantry does mess with movement. However, that's where strats start doing heavy lifting. Putting a snake straight down a path way the same way you would a firing lane, lone oping whatever scary gun or reactive move for melee armies, in my mapping solves more issues. Bringing the tradeoff of more movement monsters vs going through walls infantry more in favor of higher movement values on the snakes. Now even there we have a difference in what is available to you. But, less open lines compared to terrain dense is then a game of using deep strike vs coming on a board edge. The flexibility with the snakes, especially the Trygon, once again gave newer solutions to problems I tossed at it. Anyhow, I'm glad this video gave you something to consider as that is ultimately the goal. Thanks for bringing up this point!

@@miztahmonstur So I put 2 trygons in my Vanguard list to try it out, it’s all positive so far. I have been using them to lock down my expansion objective early game and then putting them back in reserve to do primary denial late game and or secondaries. I even placed them in the middle of my opponents deployment zone turn 1 just to see what would happen as well of move blocking with gargoyles. Needs more testing but it’s changed the way I am playing, I am even considering taking out the brick of genestealers or melee warriors I normally use.

Nice! Lol the Trygon in opponent DZ is brutalll. Thanks for taking the time to give an insightful update on how the video helped and I hope the success continues!

@@miztahmonstur thanks, more nids content would be nice dude, just saying. Not stalking but I noticed you asked a question on stat check the other day. Anyway thanks for the content.

@@ASBOmarc Lol luckily it is the faction I focus most on so I will be yapping about them (including one going up today or tomorrow funny enough). Crazy to think somebody recognized my name on that stream, but, I will say there was a question after me that felt very targeted regarding melee warriors 😂. Thanks for letting me know you are enjoying the content, it really does help.

Love the insights! Relatively new player here, played a few games back in 7th-9th, using loaner armies, finally focusing on 40k & absorbing as much knowledge as possible. So with the gargoyles, does it matter if you win first turn or not? As far as dropping them in your opponents face & using them to slow down their moves.
@miztahmonsturАй бұрын
@@shinmo2131 Thank you and welcome back! As for the question, for most armies I would say it doesn't matter. Most of them are going to have some units they want to keep further back. Therefore, you still have some target to tie up with them early. However, a melee army like Blood Angels or World Eaters might prove troublesome for the idea. All this assuming we are only using Gargoyles for this. If you already have Von Ryan's Leapers or a scouted squad of Genestealers for a line of defense, then Gargoyles become the new second line of defense.
