I watched the NEO video where he initially cracked it and the other one you showed where he showed the graded when he resub'd it, at no point did he trim the card. You claim several times he's a trimmer, did I miss it in one of the videos, if so and you have time can I get a time stamp on whatever video it was in. I watch both videos, maybe I missed it somewhere. I like what you said about lighting, two different kinds for backs of cards, great tip. I have used only super bright lighting up until now, makes me wonder if I've missed issues on cards in the past since I only use one kind of lighting.

The biggest point about neo is his influence on the community... of that doesn't sink in then I can't help. Do right things right. I understand you don't agree that what neo did is trimming, but Webster does and so does PSA.

If the claim is he trimmed the card I was wondering in the video where he said it or did, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it because I didn't see him do it in the videos I watched. And by trimming that means that he used a tool of some sort to cut the card down, a border for instance, in order to send it back in for a higher grade. You'd generally see people trimming vintage cards because modern cards generally aren't worth trimming value wise. I watch his market report videos, those are good because I like seeing how certain players are performing price wise in the market, are they going up or down, etc. I don't watch any of his other content since it's a little to long winded for me, haha but again, did he actually use a tool in those videos, maybe it was a different video I didn't see....just trying to figure out why he'd do something like that on a worthless modern card. If you have time stamps that would be great so I can see what he did. Credibility is one of the main things in life one can have, being in the card space is so different so it would be a shame for someone to 'trim' a card that isn't worth anything and to have done it on camera somewhere. @@vintagesportsshack I got what you meant after I sent my earlier comment. I read a bunch more of the comments you left to others so I get what your definition of trimming is. I wasn't aware of it before I left the comment I left earlier. I'd just say this, if you feel like what he did is trimming, wiping some excess card fuzz off of a corner (as he claims) where you called him a trimmer over and over, I'd hate to have you on my jury, haha. I say that because if that is the standard then no one in the hobby is clean...card fuzz, card dust, fingerprints, print lines that buff out with a microfiber, etc, it would be hard to find someone out there who doesn't try to get rid of that stuff when they pull a card. I've only been watching sports card videos on KZbin for about two years, but in that time I have watched the community of content creators devolve into something similar to a bunch of starving people stranded on an island, sizing each other up for their next meal. It's happening over on the Pokemon side too, but in sports cards there are a lot less kids, so the knives are sharper and appetites are way bigger. Apparently no one on hobby island is safe. One wrong move and you're seaweed casserole. Just remember folks, it is at the end of the buffet, that's where you find the carving station.

When the cutting blade gets dull at the printing factory, it will start leaving a paper ear... they will take an exacto knife and cut it off... I know exactly what he's talking about and I know what was done to fix it. Go watch vids on it then get back to me... quit trying to convince yourself that card alteration is ok.

Whilst I always disagreed with Neo stance on PSA and the link to the comic hobby, I don’t think I ever felt he was pro alteration. I can see how others would feel that way based on comments made but I always understood his position as this is bad don’t do it but why do we even bother, it’s ok for comics it should be for cards. The stuff you flagged is interesting, I’ll need to check it out. Re my shoutouts, I do it to everyone. I am all about people being informed and making up their own minds.

I feel like PSA just screwed up on the ultra modern PSA 6 grade.. people crack out and resubmit cards to PSA daily without cleaning or trimming and get 10s. It’s a PSA grading issue not a trimming issue

I've had this stuff my whole life. I was born in 1970. Started collecting in 1977. Build sets with uncle, leave remainder sealed. Wasn't a rich 20 yr old. Bought what I could afford back then.
