Nothing like having some guy just blast by when it's obvious they are trying to tow that boat out of a bad situation. And, a towing tip: you have to have the towing line centered up on both boats or you're going be crabbing like a you know what, with little control.

@@MAYNARD927 All i can think of is all 4 engines feed from the same fuel tank, which was dry, or there was some electrical fault - which would mean either negligence for not checking fuel level, or very poor design, to have a single point of failure like that. I take a Cooper Prowler 10M with twin 350 inboards out onto Georgian Bay, and **always** top up with fuel. And each engine has a completely independent fuel and electrical system. Any other ideas how this happened?

@@granthallman7721 One does not need to “top up” the fuel tank until one first checks it and confirms that it needs to be topped up. Do YOU see the difference? Check-and then respond appropriately to the check.

I always think it's a bad idea for people to be standing next to the helm, hanging on to a slippery little pole. In this instance, when the boat jerks left and right, notice how monster cheeks gets thrown towards the gunnel. If her hands slip she could easily go over the side.

Boat #2's captain was pulled to the left by her gravitational field. She had objects orbiting around her and he got sucked up into it. He was able to achieve escape velocity though so he saved himself. Still feel sorry for the little Key West boat though having to carry such a heavy load.

Towing, if done by a competent captain and towing vessel, is completely acceptable. I've rescued many a boat stranded on Lake Champlain, NY. I have quality lines, bumpers, charts, boat, and skills as a captain. Towed many boats directly to a marina dock, mooring, or boat launch.

Helping is great and in some cases required, I have helped many as well. BUT it does expose us to liability, so when ever possible just do whats needed till the pros arrive. Most marine insurance plans have towing included. BUT if nothing else put your Fkn vhf antenna up :(

If the idiot in the Invincible had his VHF Antenna properly extended, maybe he could have called for help. I watch all these videos and estimate less than 10% have their antennas properly extended for max range. When in a fluster or panic, you think they will remember to put it up? NOT BUT they look fast and cool swept back :( while they flounder alone
