My personal theory is that the entire point of the "he kidnapped a girl and he wants to impregnate her" subplot is that someone thought that the audience would be against the protagonist since they are trying to steal from a blind war veteran that lost his daughter (the money are from the insurance if i remember correctly) which is insanely fucked up. I call those kind of moments "hanging the child" (from "enemy at the gates") and the difference between "kicking the dog" is that the 2' is done to introduce a character as someone that the audience must hate while the first is done when the writers realize that they made the antagonist too likable and there is a decent chance the audience is cheering for them.

The old guy didn't really do anything wrong. He defended himself from burglers and only resorted to lethal force once he heard a gunshot from the burglers. The imprisonment thing is a little weird but he was correct that rich people rarely go to jail and his logic of a kid for a kid is fair.
@JuliRat9 ай бұрын
This movie was a masterpiece in the sense that there was nobody (except the veteran, even then it’s still iffy) that was likeable and deserving of survival. The 3 robbers were greedy dirtbags, the rich drunk driver is a horrible person, the justice system is wack for thinking 300k is what a human life is worth, and the blind man utilizes “an eye for an eye” philosophies, so technically he only really has foul within the confines of the law. The sequel made it so that he was even more likeable as a character by revealing his remorse for his actions and revealing that he is not an actual psychopath. All in all, it would have been more satisfying to see Rocky not make it, or nobody in this movie making it out alive because they all have some sort of depravity to a certain degree. In short, the burglars were 100% on the wrong for stealing from the elderly and disabled Blind man was teetering on the edge of true equality + unconventional philosophies and depraved lunacy Drunk driver was just a neglectful murderer who deserves no sympathy.

9:03 Individuals with visual impairments, including those who are blind, often retain some degree of light perception, which allows them to distinguish between light and dark. This ability doesn’t necessarily aid their vision, but it does help them maintain a sense of the day-night cycle and discern the time of day. As a result, they might prefer to keep the lights on during the day, not for visual information, but to align with the rhythm of the day.

5:48 that is not always the case. i guess tv and movies do push this narrative that the body will just instantly shut down once shot but that is not always the case, especially when you have a bunch of adrenalin pumping right before death. if the brain was to received a sudden fatal injury like being shot the nerves in the body will still try to send a single back to the brain and since there is no brain activity anymore it just bounces back. this leads to muscle spasms, twitches and jerks in the body.

In term of your question of why the first guy was still squirming after he got shot through the head, sometimes neurons still fire in our head leading to muscle spasms. It doesn’t mean they are alive but it’s just muscle responding to the brain signals, same reason why in some movies if you fatally hit someone on the head with a rock or a shovel, there eyes will erratically open and close or their fingers twitch, just neurons firing away causing limbs and muscles to move even though person is dead. Another way to think is how even when you cut the head off a snake, it can still bite you right, even though the snake is clearly dead, just random muscle contractions due to neurons firing at reflex nerves

This movie is actually horrifying. But it's also rage inducing because of the sheer stupidity as all horror movies; BUT they do have to manufacture stupidity to continue certain plot elements. The whole concept of what the dude was really doing in that basement is so unbelievably fucked, how did that get past the producers 😅

This movie is like the recap comet. Every once in a while, a recap channel always recaps it

Not sure if anybody else already said this, but Eleven if it is a fatal shot, the body will still be able to move before you die. This can be shown by how a chicken can still flop around after its head is cut off.

“Idk if I can show this next part on KZbin or Patroen for that matter which is where I upload uncensored content if you didn’t know that (quick self plug). BUT, a wise man once said f*ck it we ball” He risked demonetisation for a joke and a c0m scene, the f*cking balls 🫡

13:20 I thought The cabin in the woods answered the "Why are the protags so stupid?" quite awesomely, there they have been sacrifices and all been under the influence of substances they got hidden in their food, sadly for the evil guys the stoner has very special stuff that voids all their substances, making Shaggy in this movie the actual MvP; you know how refreshing it is when Your Character isn't the comic relief for once but is actually like "yo! Thats dumb, we ain't doing that shit, whats wrong with you?" I mean I wouldn't read a fucking cursed diary... okay only because its a diary and thats something you don't do, would have gotten me with the spell book of evil, but with a cursed diary? no, why? Why would I even WANT to read that shit? If I find a diary in the woods I go "cool, I sell that to a museum." not "Oh, whats that dead bitch secret's? I have to know! Whats that? Latin? Yeah, I found a mysterious tome with an ancient language, let me just read that out LOUD! Because for some reason I have no inner voice and all my friends can't read [oh... oh... oh thats why they do that... oh... fuck.... now My joke made me sad... why is this allways happening to me??]"

2:00 I've never heard of this movie but as a Michigander, no matter where you are in the state taking a trip to a Great Lake is usually a day trip thing. You can't see the other side on a clear day on 99% of the shoreline. And they are statistically more dangerous than the ocean when it comes to shipwrecks per capita (at least Superior is, IDK about the others).
